Discussion: Jeb Bush Distances Himself A Bit More From Adviser James Baker

A senile and demented Baker is far more sane than your normal everyday Ted Cruz.

The GOP is anti-gay, except when it comes to sucking Bibi’s cock.

Today’s conservatives don’t respect anybody especially their GOP elder statesmen. Nor God or country for that matter.

Speaking of elderly conservatives, is Ross Perot still alive? I was planning a trip South and though I’d look up his presidential museum. I couldn’t find it under Ripley’s Believe It or Not in Texarkana TX.

Sure, there are a lot of differences from 25 years ago. But how is the one relevant issue here, the two state solution, different?

If anything, there is an even more compelling imperative for a two-state solution now than there was 25 years ago, obviously from the Palestinian perspective, but from Israel’s as well. They are on slippery slope to an Israel with a non-Jewish majority population. Yes, the Palestinians, more specifically Hamas, are not ideal peace partners, but you make peace with your enemies, not your friends.

So Bush can pander all he wants, but the reality on the ground remains increasingly untenable. Things have changed, but in the opposite direction from the current Republican/Likud position.

Cruz is an anomaly. If everyone’s role in life was properly sorted out he’d either reside in a padded room or work for Fox News.

Queens Republican Party chairman Bob Turner told CNN that Bush was just
trying to emphasize that some aspects of foreign policy are different
than 25 years ago.

Yes. Stale old James Baker merely oversaw complex but successful negotiations with the Soviets that preceded the peaceful end of the USSR. So Jeb chose Paul Wolfowitz as a foreign policy advisor because of Wolfie’s fresh new idea about how to plunge the US into devastating wars.

Jim Baker again? Was Kissinger not available?

90% of the American electorate doesn’t know PNAC from peanuts. And when you try to tell people about it, they treat you like you’re a Trilateral Commission or Illuminati conspiracy nut.

Love him or hate him, James Baker was one of the best advisers to a president I can remember.

As much as I dislike James Baker, especially his role in Bush v. Gore, at least he was a bit of a realist when it came to foreign policy, unlike the current crop of GOP dimwits who want to turn our foreign policy over to Bibi. Apparently Jeb Bush would rather get his foreign policy direction from Sheldon Adelson than Baker.

Yep. Baker is a throwback to the days when even the people you hated weren’t completely insane. Though I feel that trend started before him, with James Watt.

The mission of the Manhattan Republican Party is to save the city from the progressive far left. Says so on their website. There’s also a countdown clock until our president leaves office.

Jebya. I’m so stealing that. With your permission of course.

Yes. Be sure to distance yourself from the last vestiges of sanity in the GOP and your fathers administration. Way to go John Eillis Bush.

I hope the money Obama gives to the poors go to the poor of Kansas for whom money for recreation such as swimming, movies, cruise ships and massage parlors will be unavailable under the guise of welfare reform Kansas style…

ā€œBush was just trying to emphasize that some aspects of foreign policy are different than 25 years ago.ā€

Boy, that ain’t no shit, thanks in large part to his brother.

Here’s a kind of good news about John Ellis. He’s always hungry on the paleo diet he’s on. Lost 30 lbs so far, and it seems to all be brain matter.

Well, Francis Fukuyama sort of did.

He went partial apostate when declared he would not be voting for Bush, and that the Bush administration had made three major mistakes in pursuing the neocon agenda. But he basically went radio silent after taking the beating from his former fellow travelers after the unpardonable sin of having endorsed Barack Obama in the 2008 US presidential election.
