Discussion: Jeanine Pirro's Apparent Suspension Pulls Fox News In Two Directions

NEW YORK (AP) — The apparent suspension of Jeanine Pirro is squeezing Fox News Channel in two directions.

“Pulling” is the correct word.

I’ll ask this again: Did Pirro engage in discussion with her guests on the statement she made? Did she open the phone lines to hear what viewers thought?
If none of this happened then she did not engage in debate but in smearing Rep. Omar.

Gabriel also criticized Fox in the wake of its hiring Monday of former Democratic National Committee chief Donna Brazile as a political commentator.

Between the suspension of Pirro and hiring of Brazile, “if that doesn’t show you the direction Fox News is headed I don’t know what will,” she tweeted.

They won’t - but think how delicious it would be to watch twitter meltdowns and whiney rants if Fox slotted Brazile in Pirro’s weekend show slot. Now That’s Entertainment.

Nitpicking!

“Squeezing”, “pulling”, “cupping”…Fox, the GOP, and Madam Yang can do it all.

Why doesn’t Trump just give her a job in the administration and resolve this whole thing?

It is honestly a mystery to me how Fox has any sponsors left for their prime time lineup with it’s endless diet of bigotry and deception. How can any company willingly be a part of this?

Fox deserves all the crazies it has manufactured.

Pirro has issued one statement through Fox, saying she did not call Omar un-American and that “my intention was to ask a question and start a debate, but of course because one is Muslim does not mean you don’t support the Constitution.”

Is Jeanine Pirro a racist piece of dogshit who should be thrown out of polite society? I don’t know, I’m just trying to ask a question and start a debate.

Petrissage, effleurage, sabotage… Just some of the basic strokes.

Pirro prefers the term “drive-by debate.”

They’ll always have the “invest in gold” and the ”doomsday prepper supply” companies. Oh, and the My Pillow and Trumpie Bear makers.

“internal scheduling matters” means FN is hoping things quiet down after a few weeks so the advertisers come back.

According to Wikipedia: “ACT for America is a U.S.-based anti-Muslim, pro-Trump advocacy group”. Call me naive, but I doubt they are likely to cause much of a financial crisis with any sort of boycott. In fact, they sound kind of like Russian Facebook pseudo-advocacy trollers. It’s not hard to get 20,000 likes from racists and racist-bots on Facebook even in this New Age of “reform” but they’re unlikely to stop shopping at WalMart to make their point.
