Thing is that Jackson withdrew his nomination before these accusations could be aired by the 25 witnesses and investigated in somewhat unbiased congressional committees. When confronted with his past the man withdrew from the field of combat and now the trump org is releasing what amounts to just evidence that no one filed paperwork at the time the serious offenses were committed. Let the people who came to the Veterans Affairs Committee speak their truth in open hearings and lets see Admiral Jackson defend himself to a jury of his peers shall we. Accepting anything that the trump admin releases as the truth is a fools errand.

Exactly - given the way the āfake newsā cudgel is wielded, I strongly doubt that Tester and his colleagues would sign off on something without substantial verification (in this case something like 20+ people corroborating the allegations).
Furthermore, it sounds like the āsmear campaignā accusation is based on the White House and Secret Service claiming to not have a record of a car crash; we all know this administrationās record when it comes to telling the truth, plus I recall numerous reports of misbehavior and poor judgement with the Secret Service the past few years that sound similar to the allegations against Dr. Jackson.
