Discussion: Isakson Spox Voices Support Of Tester After Accusatory Trump Tweets

It would be fun to see Jon Tester come south to campaign against Nunes. I bet a Montana rancher with four missing fingers gets a little respect around Tulare County.

If the Dems win in November, and Nunes somehow manages to save his seat, when they take power in January 2019 I want to see them have Nunes testify for 11 hours about his involvement in Trump’s Russia scandal. I really want to see how much urine can be mopped off of the House floor during that time period.

He lost those fingers working ā€œin the family farm’s butcher shop.ā€ It’s very telling to shake hands with a man and learn if he has soft hands or coarse, it tells me he’s worked hard or gotten a lot of breaks.

Transl: Isakson gets his candy ass kicked behind the scenes, contracts sphincter (sorry, but this bastard just infuriates me).

Jennifer Rubin at WaPo, self described conservative, says similar things about PP regularly. She cites recent polling which tells us what we already sense is true. Nobody much likes or trusts him but they trust Mueller and believe Comey.

Think special counsel Robert S. Mueller III is fair (54 percent/31 percent) and oppose (74 percent/13 percent) firing Mueller. They do not believe the investigation is a witch hunt (52 percent/44 percent), but a majority is convinced that Russia has something on Trump (53 percent/35 percent).

Believe Comey over Trump (54 percent/35 percent), even though they don’t have a favorable impression of Comey (41 percent unfavorable/30 percent favorable); and

Think the media is an important part of democracy (66 percent) rather than an enemy of the people (22 percent).

I suspect this is a man who knows how the Vets feel about Jackson – and what a disaster Jackson would have been for the VA.

There’s talking of nominating John Kelly to be the head of the V.A. WH is tired of him as ineffective CoS and they think moving him out will spare some humiliation and create a soft landing. But, if they tell us what their motives are for moving him, don’t we then know they mean to humiliate him but nicely? Confused in California

Decency is orthogonal to ideology. Too often people conflate on with the other.

Jennifer Rubin has been great—I never thought I’d write those words. But she sure knows a fraudulent con man when she sees one.

Senator Isakson also had the sense to debunk the death panel myth.

Which was just including advanced-care directives in Medicare.

I would say that as of this point his humiliation is fairly complete. He hasn’t dared to venture into public in how long?

Some of these Republicans better be careful, or collegiality might break out.

The focus on Sen. Tester may mainly be MOTUS’s way of trying to grab that MT Senate seat in Nov.
