Discussion for article #232984

Iā€™ll tell ya, I have my fingers crossed.

My toes too.

I believe the picture at the top of the article was the result of the governor being asked what face he makes when his flabby tittyā€™s in the wringer.

In terms of his presidential aspirations, Christie is one giant piece of toast.

Having been in da bidnitz for long stretches, itā€™s always amusing to watch media doofusses like the various morning nitwit pairs and 3-ways somehow determine that a public figure has ā€˜got pastā€™ or ā€˜overcomeā€™ or ā€˜survivedā€™ a serious investigation, when the fact is that truly serious investigations, the ones that really go deep, typically in doing so take months even years to get done.

I like the imagery: the feds got Samson by the short-n- curlees, and simultaneously as they yank on those they haul in huge steaming piles of Big Chicken.

When he goes up river, I trust theyā€™ll make sure he travels over under each and every one of the bridge and tunnel routes heā€™s abused or wrecked.

I canā€™t wait to see Joe and Mika recoil in horror when heā€™s indicted.

Itā€™ll be fun!

Moreover, thereā€™s no need for them to go to jail or even be convicted for it to end their careers, or at least ambitions for higher office. Just the investigation dragging Christieā€™s long-running sleazy deals out into the open will be enough. It already has been for Sheldon Silver, just like it was for his equally corrupt Senate compadre Joe Bruno even though he was acquitted of actual bribery.

Piece? Iā€™m thinking the entire loaf. Especially when you combine this with his anti-vaxx blunders and his well documented traipsing all over the south as part of the Jerry Jones entourage.

Samson wonā€™t hesitate to roll in exchange for leniency. Iā€™d be remiss if I didnā€™t suggest that Samson and Christie are the two biggest fishes here that they would want to get.

I work for a legal regulator, and even here the average investigation is minimum 9-12 months long to complete before a final report is released.

For something this big and this complexā€¦I think this wound is going to bleed out for at least another year, if not longer.

Drip, drip, drip.

The left had Mario Cuomo, the right will have Chris Christie. Northeastern political dynamos that donā€™t export well.

Christie sink? No, I think another metaphor is needed. Christie has lost a bunch of weight but not enough yet to ā€¦ ahemā€¦ sink. And I applaud that he has lost weight. But he is still a bully.

Evolution the Republicans can believe in: Richard Nixon: ā€œI am not a crook!ā€ ---- Christine Oā€™Donnell: ā€œI am not a witch!ā€ ----- Chris Christie: ā€œI am not a bully!ā€

Andā€¦The best metaphor for BullyBoy Christie is probably the Hindenburg! ā€¦and it happened in Jersey too!
