Won’t be the last either
It was all the fault of the campaign treasurer. Trump never met him. Lindsey and Rudy will explain that even if it may be a crime it’s only campaign finance. Congress never intended for it to be enforced and it definitely does not meet the standard of high crimes and misdemeanors.
Category 5 tweetstorm incoming.
For tRump the good news is the GOP doesn’t care, so he will slide.
This isn’t good enough: happened before he was Potus. If we really want to bring him down in this environment with the current GOP in the Senate, he has to be nailed with something done in office. Even then, Turtle probably won’t even let a trial in the Senate occur, tho I don’t know what he can or can’t do in that instance. We are stuck with the Dotard until 2021 unless he resigns.
Can’t even imagine what would have happened if Hillary paid off a guy she slept with. Meanwhile the evangelicals will continue “forgiving” all their adulterous males and the US Attorneys will continue letting people like Epstein off the hook because they have powerful friends and lawyers like Trump and Clinton and Dershowitz and, surprise, Kenneth Starr.
Legal experts have said the issue of whether Trump violated the law would come down to whether Trump tried to influence the election and whether he knew it was legally improper.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
And republicans sink even lower into the slime…
Does anyone believe that the Rump only paid off two women?
Incoming presidential tweet-- “Whoever this individual 1 is, he’s in some big trouble!”
There are the promising references to action in 2018. Here’s hoping.
Interesting because Cohen and the filings say that it was to protect his candidacy & campaign for POTUS.
Campaign finance violations is just the tip of the iceberg. With the release of Cohen’s sentencing recommendations, we know there was a quid pro quo between Russia and Trump. The Moscow Tower project, the hacking of e-mails, Wikileaks, the June Trump Tower meeting-it’s all coming together into one powerful and persuasive narrative.
What’s maddening is that the Office he obtained by criminal means and methods…now shields him from a full and fair accounting of his wrongdoing.
It’s the “shoot the moon” strategy.
Yep…Ho hum…
This is peanuts. Trump is guilty of a plethora of crimes, the sum total of which smells very much like high treason.
I am waiting for the other (truck load of) shoes to drop.
Ah, Jan. 3. I can’t wait for the corrupt, groveling foxes to start gettting kicked the hell out of the hen houses…
At which point Mueller can reveal ALL Trump’s crimes with an encyclopedia of evidence, plus audio and visual aids.
Waiting, waiting, waiting…
They couldn’t tie John Edwards’ violation to his campaign. Trump isn’t so lucky.
Also the GOP strategist was Brian Robinson, spokesman for Ga Governor Nathan Deal.
But wait! Prisons don’t serve taco bowls!! If the menu doesn’t fit, you must acquit!!
