They’re competitors. It is bad news from Bernie’s perspective.
Please don’t embarrass yourselves too hard over the next 20 months,TPM.
Wow, the guy who’s not a Democrat and has never been a Democrat trashing the success of Democrats. Apparently, it’s all about Bernie. Whodathunkit?
He is unlikely to hit back at the Vermont senator, since he has
pledged to keep his campaign positive.
he he …
Beto doesn’t need to —
Daddy Sorebucks.
So the money is the message? Um, okay…
Late to the boards… Anyone seen his tax returns yet?
My favorite one I’ve seen so far is Talcum X
I wish TPM would distinguish in their headlines which Sanders they are reporting on, Bernie or Sarah.
And it is bad news to Bernie when another candidate out-raises him. Why make it into a quarrel between them? Opponents aren’t supposed to support one another.
That’s the attitude!
Do everything to win, even if it hurts your party (after all it’s not really your party) and its causes (the causes you supposedly share).
Refreshing honesty.
I don’t favor either of them, so I don’t really care.
I can direct you to where they’re at …
and for a small donation … I’ll DOUBLE your order and direct you to DONNIE’S returns —
Just call BR549 … and don’t forget … for a small donation
we can find them! —call B R 5 4 9 now !
I kind of enjoy the confusion.
Excellent job missing the point!
Pardon my language but fuck that guy…
I don’t look upon them (or any of the other Democratic candidates) as opponents, but rather as viable, or not, alternatives from which to chose. And magnanimity is a factor in my viability assessment.
ETA, When Kamala Harris was asked about Beto’s joining the race, she said, “The more the merrier”. Five points to Kamalador.
Bernie, shut up.
Yes, I agree – it is bad news for Bernie when he does not believe that the appeal of his policy ideas is not sufficient and that he needs to attack other Democrats to stay in the lead.
Edit: And if Sanders’ wants to fund-raise off O’Rourke’s entry into the race, there are much better ways of doing so, e.g.: “There are so many great candidates in this race. We need more money to compete and spread our positive message”.
Too many people are moved by Beto’s style rather than his substance (of which he has little). I suspect, though, that he’ll be exposed pretty quickly as a cardboard candidate.
It’s very simple. I don’t consider Bernie to be a legitimate candidate until he releases his tax returns. (That would be ten years of them, like other Democratic candidates in recent years.)
Millions of Americans hit the street on this very issue: the release of tax returns, the contempt for essential norms of integrity and transparency. It is simply outrageous that he has not done it yet.
