There is NOTHING negative about what Sanders said So who is the beneficiary of this obvious TPM bias?

“We need to show we can have more money in our campaign than that other guy” might be true, and it might even be categorized as refreshingly honest, but I’m not sure it’s a message totally in line with how Senator Sanders wants to portray his campaign.

Fund-raising off the threat of being out-fund-raised? Sounds like the kind of thing an old white guy would do…

Of course if Bernie ends up the candidate I’ll vote for him so we can remove the disease that presently lives in the WH. But otherwise fuck that carpetbagging mf’er. Fuck Bernie.

Trust Bernie to go negative and characterize the success of a new DEMOCRATIC entrant into the race as something terrible.

It threatens HIS MONEY as he sees it. Just what you would expect from a Carpet-Bagger.

I agree with you in that the headline is making an issue out of something that probably isn’t an issue.

At the same time, the email’s subject line feeds into a dynamic that characterized Bernie’s 2016 campaign, and probably played a large part in Trump being President. His campaigning which seeks to malign and detract from the successes of his opponents in the primary. The most egregious of which was the accusations of “rigging” (which became most prominent when a certain Brooklyn district’s ballots were not counted until well after the NY primary was declared for Hillary, despite the fact that (a) the NY primary didn’t matter and Bernie had already lost by then (b) Sometimes stuff goes wrong, without it being because of malign intentions © the district whose ballots were not counted was not predominantly young, and as it turned out when the votes were tallied later, unsurprisingly had more Hillary Clinton votes than Sanders votes, so if anything, the “rigging” reduced Hillary’s victory margin.

I am not seeing a problem in the statement printed in the article. I am a little surprised to see TPM playing the divisive game. (So far, I have only contributed this time to Senator Warren.)
