Maybe. I haven’t seen any rage. Mostly i see her getting the same response as most accusers. Why did she wait until now to say anything? Where was she in 2016? Is she just trying to make money/get famous?
Keep in mind that cops are the biggest ammosexuals out there, they became cops because they liked guns and shooting so much, don’t expect any sympathy from them in this kind of disputes. Good that she is a good looking white woman, a black woman would have “committed suicide” in her cell.

Clearly, he raped her. The headlines should state the harsh reality. The New York Times buried this story in the book section. The media’s response to her story is almost as disturbing as the event itself.

False charges do occur. I recall several over the years in which the accuser withdrew the charge and admitted it was fabricated. But they’re relatively rare.
Virtually every woman I know – family members, coworkers, my late wife, my current wife, in-laws – have experienced some form of sexual misconduct. That’s the whole range from harassment to molestation to rape. I know a woman who was drugged and raped by 4 sgts when she was in the Army. How’s that for baggage?

Sometimes I feel like the fictional Sheldon Cooper. When someone qualifies a statement like that (“It’s important for women to know…”) I take them at their word. It makes more sense if that qualification is understood as a negation (more as, “Women know where I’m coming from, but men need to get this…”), although I still think a simple, “No” should suffice especially in a situation where there is no previous relationship.
And that said, I can’t imagine details that could be interpolated into that situation that would make it something not rape.

Yeah. Me too. Everything from leering comments from salesjerks to rape by brothers and other family members and not always male. I’ve seen how devastating it is. People who say “Where was she in 2016?” are declaring they don’t understand it in any way.

I don’t think ANY of the women I referred to pressed charges. In the early 80s I fired a guy for some gross sexual harassment and had a voice in the firing of two others. Those firings were prophylactic.
We saw little or none of that behavior after that – that is, in that workplace during my tenure of several years. Word got around.

He held a virtual Nazi rally complete with language demonizing the opposition and implying that people who are not quite human are out to get his followers
A woman came forward and accused him of rape -
He pulled back from a potential war situation that he himself was responsible for initiating in the first place
You could have gone to sleep at the end of 2017 and woke up last week and nothing would have changed except the country being threatened with extinction, the name of the accuser and the city where the rally was held.
Rinse and repeat. There is a very high probability that, prior to the 2020 election, he will push something far enough (with the help of the war-loving people in his administration and in the military) that we will not be able to back off the game of chicken and will instead find ourselves launching an attack.
