Discussion: Huckabee Slams 'Secular Theocracy,' Says Laws 'Come From God,' Not Man

We the People

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) said during an appearance
Thursday on a Christian television show that he’s thinking about running
for President to help the nation know where laws come from: God.

Prove it.

I never knew that God sat down and wrote the Constitution and the United States Code (Annotated) in his spare time.

Apparently, Huckie-boy believes he has a direct line to God and what God wants.

He seems to have forgotten the prime rule of religious behavior—When you talk to God, it’s called prayer. When God talks to you, it’s called schizophrenia.

that’s why he always does everything the little voices tell him to do.

Damn, I was hoping he would make it to the debates. He seems to be imploding early.

It wasn’t too long ago that Christians following different men claiming direct links to God and his laws were killing each other by the tens of millions. Wars were described in terms of decades or longer. Only a few people, maybe Mike Huckabee included, want to see the streets run red with blood but that is what will happen if this “Laws ‘Come from God’ Not Man” lunacy gains ascendancy.

Throughout history tyrants have invoked deities to enforce their will and buck up their armies. Nowhere did this become more apparent that the role of the Roman church and the plethora of European kings in the centuries following the collapse of the Roman Empire – except for the unholy alliances of religious extremists and politics and power that we see erupting all over the world today. What Huckabee and friends are espousing is profoundly dangerous to the very concept of freedom and peace.

Heck, just look at the Middle East.

Huck doesn’t think the people in the Middle East have God’s true laws. After all they are mostly Muslims and Jews. God only gives the true laws to Baptists like him. Don’t believe me, ask him.

If you choose to call resistance to your sharia law “antagonistic” to your so-called “Christian faith” (which, by all appearances, is Christ-less) then you’re fucking-aye right I’m antagonistic, there, Preacher Man.

Right. Per Huckabee, the Establishment Clause is clearly unconstitutional.

I’m a bit rusty in my bible studies, so on what day did God create marijuana and what day did he make it illegal ?

Hey Huckie! I don’t think “law” means what you think it means.

God wasn’t at the top of His game with those Jim Crow laws.

When I’m asked to prove god doesn’t exist, I simply point out that if s/he did, s/he’d have already smitten the living shit out of these vile politicians who bring such disrepute to his/her name for the most misanthropic and vain of purposes.

Are you high?

That is one brilliant question.

No, it’s actually two brilliant questions.

The NYPD announced results of a two-week coveting blitz today.

The entire population of the city has been put under house arrest.

Huck needs to read his little holy book again. No mention of a democracy there. The little holy book is all about a King and a Kingdom. Want a Biblical government? It will look a lot more like North Korea than the USA.

What does Huckabee say to all the voters who either don’t subscribe to the same faith as he does or who may not believe in God? Shouldn’t religion be kept out of government?

If he wants to follow “Biblical Law,” when do we stone Barstool Palin?
