Gee, I’m surprised God has time to deal with property tax rates, vehicle sticker fees and curfew laws.
The reason Southern Baptists don’t screw standing up? They are afraid the neighbors will look in the window and think that they are dancing.
“History, I believe, furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance of which their civil as well as religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purposes.”
-Thomas Jefferson to Alexander von Humboldt, Dec. 6, 1813.
…and elections. Shouldn’t our leaders be appointed by the clergy through God?
Scary as shit.
They aren’t known as Shiite Baptists for nothing.
The Huckster just ended ANY chance he ever had of obtainng even THE NOMINATION of the GO(T)P, let alone being POTUS!
“even antagonistic toward Christian faith”
Teatroll Rosetta Stone says: “Uppity motherfuckers won’t just obey me like they’re supposed to. Christian or not, you’re supposed to behave like one because we said so. Disobedience antagonizes us.”
Within the faith community in the US there is a wide diversity of religions and, amongst professed Christians, the interpretation of Scripture and God’s will. Even within denominations there is disagreement. How, pray tell, does Huckabee suggest that be reconciled. The answer, of course, is defined by the US Constitution very, very clearly.
theocratic fascist

I can’t believe he actually said that. There’s a multitude of reason’s that he’s not qualified to be President of any country, but this takes the cake. He clearly doesn’t even understand the basic schoolhouse rock version of how the US Government is actually set up.
They are hostile to fellow Christians as well, if we don’t toe their doctrinal & behavioral line.
Bills are handed down from God in heaven, voted on by the Pope, and signed in to law by Jesus, right? That’s not how it works?
We said “no” to the whole religious rule thing back in 1776. If our Founding Fathers wanted the theocrats running things, you’d think they would have mentioned it in the Constitution.
Since you appear to be running for an office you don’t believe in, what are you planning to do if elected? Installing a throne in the Oval Office and having yourself anointed king?
