Huck is doing what Huck does best, glob on to any “scandal” involving the word “Christian” and make a complete fool of himself in the process. Sure his target audience eats it up, but they are voting for Trump so he is out of luck there. Huck supports child molesters, adulterers, animal torturers and “Christians” who break the law. Holy fuckballs, that’s the point of jailing for contempt. It is the punishment, like the sentence you get after a trial you posted bail to guarantee you will show up for. You don’t get to bail on your sentence. Jeezus what an ass!

I refuse to believe he is an idiot. Huckabee is fully aware of what he is saying, and knows full well the details of this case. He knows that bail does not apply in contempt of court. In short, he is a demagogue who is fooling the bigoted base.

I don’t see Huck advocating on behalf of journalists who are routinely jailed for contempt for protecting their sources.

That’s just fucking ridiculous. Bail wold sort of ruin the whole point of a contempt judgment. Moreover, it’s a judgment. She was FOUND in contempt, i.e., “convicted.” You get bail when you’re still presumed innocent, Clownshoes, not when you’re already adjudged to be guilty.
