I just get tingles every time a GOP Presidential candidate opens their mouth. Dems are going to walk away with this election.

Dahmer wasn’t being held on a civil contempt charge, you lardass ShiiteBaptist maroon.

Hey, some Governors (like you) pardon convicted rapists who rape and kill again, like Maurice Clemmons.

Jeffrey Dahmer’s bail was $5,000,000 - CASH! And the governor of Wisconsin did not commute Dahmer’s sentence and free him, unlike a certain governor of a certain marry-your-sister state that freed a murderer/rapist named Maurice Clemmons, who went on to murder some more after he was freed. I just can’t seem to remember what the name of that fat-assed governor is, although I swear it’s on the tip of my tongue. I think it may rhyme with Fuck A Tree, but I could be wrong!

Well, we can hope.

"…No one in this world, so far as I know—and I have researched the records for years, and employed agents to help me—has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby.” H.L. Mencken.

P.S. while we’re quoting Mencken and more apropos to the Rev. Huckabee:

“Moral certainty is always a sign of cultural inferiority. The more uncivilized the man, the surer he is that he knows precisely what is right and what is wrong. All human progress, even in morals, has been the work of men who have doubted the current moral values, not of men who have whooped them up and tried to enforce them. The truly civilized man is always skeptical and tolerant."

“Jeffery Dahmer got bail, the Boston Stranger got bail, John Wayne Gacy got bail,” Huckabee said. “Kim Davis, because of her convictions, was not given bail.”

There’s a sequence of scenes in the Lee Atwater biopic, where the Bush attack ad is running all the defense programs that Dukakis voted against. Now naturally the Willie Horton ads are the primary ones that got Bush 1 into office. However the reaction on Sam Donaldson’s face, as he explains how he and the press corps failed to vet any of these charges is priceless.

Support prejudice! Every time he even thinks Jesus, it drags him in to some vague perversity. Whether or not Jesus cares is irrelevant, schmuckabee’s raison d’etre is to blaspheme the human race and particularly those with fewer prejudices.

“You’re in contempt of court and we’re going to jail you until you comply with the court’s order, but hey! Why don’t we release you so that you have no incentive to comply!”

“What she did was follow the Kentucky Constitution,” he said. “This is an unbelievable moment in American history.”

Simple fact check time

The Supremacy Clause is the provision in Article Six, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution that establishes the United States Constitution, federal statutes, and treaties as “the supreme law of the land.” It provides that these are the highest form of law in the United States legal system, and mandates that all state judges must follow federal law when a conflict arises between federal law and either a state constitution or state law of any state.

I wonder if anyone will mention this to any GOP candidate between now and Sunday shows.

Mike’s just pissed attention was diverted away from him for a minute.

his buddy Josh Duggar was never even arrested for finger-raping his five year old sister.

Oh and while we are on the topic of violent felons, shall we discuss Maurice Clemmons and Wayne Dumond, whom Huckabee helped set free? One went on to murder four cops, the other raped and murdered two women.

Susan McDougal (born 1955) is one of the few people who served prison time as a result of the Whitewater controversy although fifteen individuals were convicted of various federal charges. Her refusal to answer “three questions” for a grand jury about whether President Bill Clinton lied in his testimony during her Whitewater trial led her to receive a jail sentence of 18 months for contempt of court. This comprised most of the total 22 months she spent in incarceration.

Don’t remember Huckafuck complaining about the time Susan McDougal spent in prison without bail on a contempt charge .
(Held in Arkansas jails while Huckafuck was Governor, btw).

Oh Gawd, somebody connect the dots for this man. Bail is for criminal charges. Being jailed for contempt is not the same thing. A contempt jailing is for refusing a court order or similar scofflaw. If all you had to do to avoid a contempt jailing was gather the money to buy your way right back out of the cell then the threat of a contempt charge and jail would be meaningless. Huckabee is an idiot.

Slight change: it was $2,500.

Also it was on attempted sex assault…but that liberal media might have trouble remembering that. Seeing how it would bring back the Josh Duggar matter.

Side-note: This guy was the governor then. It could be very important if he was the guy who nominated the pardon committee who let Dahmer off.

But hey…‘ancient history’.

Breaking News, Little Rock: Little Rock General Hospital has sent out an urgent request for gravy. They are afraid Hucky will have an aneurysm and need a transfusion.

I recall, after the Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage, you could hear all of the Christianists screaming about how the TRUE SOLDIERS OF THE LORD! (exclamation point borrowed from J.E.Bush) would rise up against this anti-Christian ruling and take America back for Christ. And if thousands of clerks around the nation refused to grant licenses to same -sex couples, I would truly be horrified and frightened. But their entire response has been almost as laughable as the “Puttin’ On the Ritz” scene from “Young Frankenstein”. The ugliest, most moronic people are the faces of this “movement” - Ted Cruz, Huckabuck, Piyush, Ayn Rand Paul (no, not the guy who played Jesse on “Breaking Bad”), etc. - and all the other candidates that the so-called media seem to think are “moderates” - which haven’t existed in the Republican Party for about 35 years - like Trump and Bush are twisting themselves into pretzels trying to weasel out of giving a straight (no pun intended) and logical answer to any question about the same -sex marriage ruling and its consequences.
One thing this whole episode has shown is that just about every member of the Republican Party has absolutely no fucking idea how the United States Constitution works, which should disqualify all of them from holding any elective office whatsoever. Now if we only had a media that would point this tiny little fact out. But I guess the fact that every elected official must swear loyalty to the Constitution when taking the oath of office doesn’t mean shit anymore. But what the fuck do I know? I’m just a patriotic American who loves his country, and not a Constitutional scholar like the sage Mike Huckabee.
