This is an opportunity for the youth of today to put themselves in a position so that, in, say 2036, when someone asks you, “Where were you and what were you doing in stopping the most evil man ever to be a major party candidate for U.S. President?”

One can make the right answer

That verbal expression is overused and usually masks a lack of proper and detailed analysis…which, in itself, is a joke

I know what you mean, and I’m not vouching for Dan Judy’s character, but I don’t think that’s necessarily what he was saying (based on this one quote). It sounds to me like he’s warning his candidates not to try “unskewing” the polls or to assume how black people will or won’t vote when one of the candidates isn’t black. In other words, actual common sense.

I’m the WASP* at this table, but my observation has been that it’s rare to find someone who’s bigoted against a particular ethnicity who isn’t also, if you scratch away a few layers of paint, an anti-Semite just waiting for an excuse to come boiling out. And my sense is that Jews, above all other ethnicities are aware of this because they have a thousand or two years of varied and terrible historical experience of it. I suspect most other ethnicities had to meet up in America to learn the terrible truth of the interchangeability of bigotry that Jews learned before Columbus sailed the ocean blue (and promptly began the extermination of the first non-white people he saw).

(*Culturally, at least.)

While it would be nice, I don’t require a Dem takeover of both houses. Just an opposition party that is sane and willing to negotiate honestly and compromise.
