The appropriations process has been ground to a halt, Politico reported, until GOP leadership decides how to handle the issue.
Which means that it is at a permanent standstill because if there’s one thing the GOP leadership really sucks at, it’s handling issues, and if there’s another thing they really suck at, it’s making decisions… Eventually, Ted Cruz will tell them what to do and the country will be headed for (yet) another government shutdown.

You can almost say that Dylan Roof was a liberal plant. White and from SC was a gift. He has been instrumental in changing southern culture in a short amount of time.
Same thing will happen to Guns. NRA is the best friend of Gun Control. Its inevitable that there will multiple massacres due to guns. Trigger will be reached at some point in not too distant future. It just needs white suburban babies to be the victims in rich white neighborhoods across the nation.

No, it needs a member of either the US Congress or a State Legislature to lose a close friend or family member to gun violence in the same manner as those twenty first graders at Sandy Hook. THEN we might see some movement. You can damn straight bet that if Clemente Pinkney had not been a member of the SC Legislature, none of this would have happened.

Um, BS, Rick Santorum’s wife (or any of the other gaggle of GOP candidates) could get blasted in the street and he’d hold a presser and pass out guns to those in attendance were it legal, just to prove he was still on board with unfettered gun ownership and carry rights. Winning elections takes priority over family, and crossing the NRA doesn’t help win you an election.

Ms. Sneed and other reporters: Dylan Roof didn’t “allegedly” kill nine people, he openly admits he did. The trial will just be an exercise in how to punish him for his actions, not determine guilt.
Quit with the bs “neutrality” language on topics that are already decided, that “fair and balanced” bs is what made Fox so powerful and set us back 10 years or more on climate change action, gun control and more.

Boehner would have to come up with some serious concessions to get Pelosi to come up with the 100 Democratic votes needed to bypass the Tea Party block. One wonders if Boehner can do that and still get enough establishment Republicans to pass the bill. Nancy can’t do anything about the Southern rednecks. Cruz, on the other hand, is their natural ally as only someone who uses the same outhouse can be.
