Come on people Chairman Cummings had to go through this process, even though he and we knew this would be the WH’s approach. Just like Mueller we need to be sure we dot our i’s and cross out t’s before we bring in the heavy artillery.

Isn’t this why we have mothballed tanks?

Going off on a tangent, the Pod Save America guys were, in their most-recent episode, discussing an anecdote about Pete Buttigieg. He was interviewed at one point by a Norwegian reporter and Mayor Pete starts speaking Norwegian. The reporter was astounded - why does this middle-America mayor speak Norwegian?

Apparently Pete read an English translation of a book by a Norwegian author and he liked it so much he wanted to read more by the same guy. But no other books had been translated into English, so as any one of us would do, Pete just learned Norwegian so he could read more books.

The name of the Trump game is to run out the clock:

  1. Don’t respond to document request;
  2. Don’t respond to subpoena;
  3. Resist judicial enforcement of subpoena in District Court;
  4. Resist judicial enforcement of subpoena in Court of Appeals;
  5. Resist judicial enforcement of subpoena in Supreme Court.

By then it is after the 2020 election. So it doesn’t matter any more.
