Noticeably (but not surprisingly) not subpoenaed by the House Judiciary committee:
SDNY FBI senders of texts critical of Clinton.
Surely Dems could find a couple, or three_hundred agents who have shared anti Hillary messages on social media…
Also notably (but not surprisingly) not subpoenaed by the House Judiciary Committee: Donald Trump, Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort, George Pappadopolus…
God I hope that when these guys “retire” or lose (POS Goodlatte “retiring”), they will get grief whenever they show their smug, fat faces in public. I’m all for public shaming. Make them wear dunce caps.
So has the House turned into the Thought Police? Is someone combing through the twitter and Facebook feeds of all Republicans on the committee?
Each congressional district has nearly 800,000 people. How bad can things be when Bob Goodlatte is the best you can find? And pity Fresno.
Any resemblance between the current (Republican) House Judiciary Committee and a body of fair-minded, judicious, objective gentlemen in pursuit of the truth is purely coincidental.
“Page is set to appear before the lawmakers the day before Strzok will testify publicly in front of the House Oversight and Judiciary committees.”
Not a new thing.
… Lisa has cooperated voluntarily with another congressional committee that had no objection to explaining the scope of its investigation or providing sufficient notice for her interview. …
Hmm, I wonder if the chairs of that committee would be Burr and Warner?
Essentially, she is being called to answer for private political opinions–which FBI employees have, or at least used to have, a right to hold and express–that the Rethuglicans do not like and think they can use to help render Mueller illegitimate in public opinion. It is no longer a question whether we still have our democracy–we don’t–but how much of it we will lose. The ironic element of this is that for every FBI employee who might have expressed anti-Drumpf opinions, there are probably (conservatively) at least ten who expressed anti-Hillary opinions. (And there is no evidence that Page or Strzok acted in accordance with those opinions in the course of their official duties; indeed the evidence is overwhelmingly to the contrary. The same cannot be said, to take just one notorious example, of the anti-Hillary leak-like-a-sieve agents in the New York FBI office.) Should the Democrats take control of a house of Congress and start investigating and subpoenaing agents who expressed anti-Hillary opinions, Rethuglicans, including the very ones who have subpoenaed Page, will erupt in outrage at such a violation of the First Amendment.
How would they recognize one to police it?
Bazinga!
Let ME save us all some time and money. She hates the Orange Mofo and sent some texts reflecting her passion. She STILL did her fking job because that’s what professional women DO! Now it’s time for you and the kids in the House to get off your dead butts and do YOURS!
Unbelievable. The House Rethugs are busily wasting taxpayer money and valuable time investigating those with anti-Trump sentiments rather than checking demonstrable criminal behavior by this bAdministration.
Anyone still think these dirty Republicans are anything other than traitors? Fucking scumbags…
Do any of these people have chins?
I guess I need to pay better attention. Somehow I missed the rigorously applied standard that was set during the Benghazi and Hillary’s email server investigations, that excluded partisan (or any) members of the opposition from investigating the party in power.
Among the members of the Oversight Committee: Greg Gianforte and Jim Jordan.
One’s an expert at beating up on witnesses, the other on oversight, or at least on overlooking things.
