Discussion: House Judiciary Subpoenas Lisa Page, FBI Lawyer Who Sent Anti-Trump Texts

sat for an 11-hour session of private questioning by lawmakers

11 hours? That wasn’t a private questioning, it was a bare bulb interrogation by a group of mafioso wannabes that reeked of garlic and cabbage.

How soon before Trump begins to call them enemies of the State?

Oh wait, didn’t he already?

The 11-hour charade they forced Mrs. Clinton to participate in was nothing more than an effort to hurt her campaign as we learned after the fact but suspected all along. Putting Ms Page through a similar charade comes out of the same basket.

“selectively leaking and misrepresenting” his private testimony,"

Feature, not bug. There is LITERALLY no other reason to hold private interviews for Strzok and Page…and any public hearings have as their sole purpose the GOP trying to grandstand for the cameras in order to feed Faux News more conspiracy bullshit.

PPee is becoming more and more afraid of what the Mueller is going to reveal. He’s running for his life and the gutless wonders in the House are aiding and abetting. He’s more to be pitied than feared at this point. He’s almost toast.

I hope the public testimony includes something along these lines:
“Let me ask you Congressman, if you were in my shoes faced with the mountain of evidence that the Trump campaign was conspiring with the Russians to defraud the citizens of this great country and steal an election, at the same time people within the FBI were leaking misinformation to aid in this conspiracy, would you be passionate in the hope that Trump would lose the election? Or would you sit idly by and let it happen so you could get a tax cut? Never mind, you don’t need to answer we already know. Asshat.”

I was trying to channel Blow in a couple of sentences.

Impeachment is always on Trump’s mind, so he relentlessly pursues his strategy of creating a climate of incredulity.

He’s actually succeeded at something for once in his miserable life, and it’s an attempt to save himself, not the country and the people he was “elected” to serve and protect.

Good article, but what is up with the selection of the NYT picks for the reader comments? It is far to the right of the standard bothsiderisms. Ugh!

A bunch of mean girls.

hahahahahahahahahaha

(oops - didn’t see that @littlegirlblue beat me to it, albeit with a different gender - not that that matters.)

It’s a great article as is the case with whatever Blow turns out, and we should all remember FDR’s words about fear. We’re scaring ourselves because he’s filled with fear.
