Discussion: House Judiciary Jump Starts Trump Probe With Wide-Ranging Doc Requests

Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA), the top GOP member of the committee, said in a statement. “After recklessly prejudging the president for obstruction, Chairman Nadler is pursuing evidence to back up his conclusion because, as he admits, ‘we don’t have the facts yet.’”

Remind me, was Doug on the Benghazi committee?

It’s easy to grow frustrated when Dems speak softly as Nadler did during the Whitaker hearing. However, it is becoming increasingly clear that they will wield the big stick.

“Requests”

This’ll be fun.

“Pursuing evidence” is not the GOP way. Guess what, Congressman? There’s a new sheriff in town, time to start up those shredders.

When the Trump admin refuses to hand over documents and ignores subpoenas, what’s next? All snark aside, that’s where I see this going.

Fun Fact: The GOP’s favorite phrase is, “If you’ve got nothing to hide, then you’ve got nothing to fear.”

Shit burns. Set the GOP afire.

To be fair, the GOP only applies that policy to minorities and Democrats.

And they’re planning that appropriate time to be January 20, 2024.

No, Rep. Collins, it’s not “hedging their bets.”

It’s “by any means necessary.”

Because it’s unacceptable every damn day, but entirely legal, that the president is a racist.

Elections have consequences.

(Just repeating what I’ve heard since 11/2016.)

I remember GWB said this after the 2004 election.

Well why would you investigate anything, if you already have all the facts, Seems counter-intuitive. While Mueller’s investigations are important they do not cover all the growing corruption and legally dubious actions that this administration has taken to get its agenda done at the behest of the richest amongst us at the expense of the average american. We as Americans are tired of the government only serving those that can pay, at the highest levels, for free speech. We are tired of the idea that corporations are people and all of the policies that flow out of this legally dubious conclusions. We want government to work for the middle class and for the children that represent the next generation.

I look forward to Collins’ letter to the DOJ requesting that the FBI stop all investigations for which they do not have all the facts.

You know, a halfway functioning media would make this crap a headline.

And their second favorite is…

This is at a congressional hearing, no less!

Also, Mueller is focused on Russia, not Donnie’s home-criminal family empire.

Things don’t go quite so well for Trump when Congress fulfills its oversight duties.
