Discussion: House Judiciary Jump Starts Trump Probe With Wide-Ranging Doc Requests

“Witch hunt! How can we provide documents when we’ve already destroyed them?”

No doubt we’ll all be informed this is the best news ever for Trump.

“Nadler is such an idiot, he just cinched re-election in 2020!!”"

I don’t know folks. There’s just seems to be way too much news this morning…

I can barely keep up with it all…while at work!

Entirely possible, but more likely that he is counting on his base not to understand it.

“After recklessly prejudging the president for obstruction”

Yep, I smelled smoke. Then I saw the windows crack and then blow out. The siding charred, then melted away. Ash made breathing in proximity hard. The house was fully consumed. The flames were a hundred feet in the air and the plume of smoke filled the sky. Responders soaked the house and neighboring houses with jets of water. The Police Department hauled someone away in cuffs. The arson squad walked away with empty cans of accelerant.

But was there a fire. Nope. This is just another partisan attempt to yell fire where there is none. Scandalous!

sent out a sprawling set of document requests

Sprawling? This was used in the original WAPO article. Subtle editorializing?

recklessly prejudging the president for obstruction

“What I want is I want total transparency…. You have to have transparency. All I want to do is be transparent.”
— The Turmeric Tyrant, on ordering the public release of highly classified materials related to the Russia investigation.

How could anybody prejudge a man like that, a man long known for his scrupulosity?

Let’s ask an expert:

Anderson Cooper pressed on: “But I mean, have you ever heard the President lie? That’s why I’m asking you?”

“I have not,” said Representative Gym Jordan (R-Mendacity). “And the American people feel like what the treatment he’s receiving from the top people of the FBI …”

“I don’t think you can talk about all the American people,” Cooper interrupted. “But I’m asking you – just yourself, have you ever heard the President lie?”

“I have not,” Jordan reiterated.

Nuff said. Case closed.

I’d like to see some arrests made when that happens.

I’ve been wondering this and I think the answer is … nothing. Nadler could haul them into jail, I think, for refusing to comply with a subpoena, but probably won’t. What happens in the face of stonewalling, lawyers?

81 individuals seems like a lot for the Trumpsters to manage. Some of those folks are not going to want to be held in contempt.

It’s not the dirty tricks and corrupt apparatchiks…

It’s the Number, Depth and Breadth of the Offenses.

And evidence of the above

Indeed.

Pardon me while I clutch my pearls at the thought that one might pursue actual facts to support one’s conclusions.

Lawd, lawd, lawd. What is the world coming to?
