How is it that an entire day has gone by and we havenāt yet heard Dick Cheneyās opinion? Itās hard to believe he would consider this not his business. I suspect heās either in surgery, or the media have decided to collectively ignore his predictable bitching (a lot to hope for I know) or the hubbub made him run back to his 2001 hideout like the frightened little rabbit he is.

These are the same RWNJs that want this war to continue with more soldiers staying on than the 9800 that was negotiated. The war is coming to an endā¦finally. Deal with it. POWs are returned when war is ended. Just because āsenior military advisorsā say the 5 at Gitmo are mid-level operators doesnāt mean thatās trueā¦Especially if Hayden was one of the classifiers. We since learned over the years how well theyāve manipulated the entire extra-legal classifications for prisoners at GITMO. I have no faith in any of those designations by the previous administration. They havenāt even bothered to give some of these prisoners due process, so its convenient that they can claim any fucking thing they want. The special designation the Bushies gave most detainees has been an absolute sham from day one.

But Reagan trading weapons for the IRAN hostages was just fine with Rep Rogers. He happens to be my congressman. I write to him about weekly and funny thing is, have never received a reply. I canāt wait for his radio show, because I know I will have a new congressman by then.
Ask John McCain what POW life feel like. Only idiots think POW exchange is ādangerousā. History shall stand testimony that such exchange took place in all wars. Did those morons ever think what is the cost of a life of a soldier who sacrificed and/or ready to sacrifice their lives for their country. Contrarily, did they ever think what message it will transmit to the US soldiers currently working in the armed forces in case exchange prospects are denied?
