Discussion: House GOPer Defends Trump's '2nd Amendment' Line: He's Not 'Articulate'

That’s true–Trump and ā€œarticulateā€ are complete strangers. But that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t know exactly what he’s saying.

Yeah, he’s not articulate. So, just how will that help him in negotiating with Russia and China and Iran?

Answer: our President would be the leading threat to our own national security.

America: land of the dumbass.

Having an inarticulate person as President of the United States sounds like a really good idea!

If he is in fact so inarticulate that in itself would disqualify him. If, as Ryan said, it was a joke gone bad that would also disqualify him. We can not put someone so inarticulate and so un disciplined in their speech, someone with no filters and such a huge ego on the world stage as leader of our country

Hmmmm…that’s so reassuring.

And this excuse came from a shitweasel like woo-woo Duncan Hunter…of course it did.
It’s reminiscent of the Dumbya’ Factor: ā€œ~chuckle!~ Aint’t he sumthin’? He’s not real bright and he’s not articulate…but ā€˜He speaks his mind!’…and, by golly, I’d like to have a beer with him. I can relate to him. Let’s put him in the White House. What could go wrong?ā€

Not articulate does not work well on the 3 am call, sport.

GOPer: Republicans are common people with poor speaking/reading skills. This is unlike the liberal elites who control media and democrat party. Our educations system is behind even that of Kenya, as illustrated by tremendous oratory skills of our current Muslim President.

I agree Trump has a limited vocabulary, but he knows exactly what he is saying.

Does it make sense for our nation to elect a man as President that cannot clearly articulate what his thoughts and intentions and wishes are? Do we want to spend four years having administration spokespeople following in behind his every utterance with the caveat ā€œHere’s what he meant to say, despite what you heardā€? Do representatives of foreign nations say ā€œThank you, President Trump, for participating in this summit/conference/negotiation. Now, we’ll wait for someone to tell us what the actual position of the United States is before we proceedā€?

But. But. But. He said he has the best words, & that he’s said lots of things. Surely you’re joking.

Being able to speak extemporaneously without putting one’s foot in one’s mouth constantly is a skill set Trump does not possess – and when he ā€œmisspeaksā€ he digs in further with less than credible excuses and refuses to acknowledge or apologize. This is not a sign of a well disciplined intellect or mature character. Even if we give Trump the benefit of the doubt that our first impressions of what he said are not what he really meant, its his responsibility to say what he means in the clearest possible terms. Clear communication is a major requirement of the job of President.

The loss of the ability to articulate properly can be a warning sign of a stroke or other devastating neurological disorder.

Yep, that fits Donnie to a T. The mouth engages without the brain even functioning.

Head poundingly stupid yet he supports Trump so why am I surprised.

Then let’s elect him president and send him off to talk with foreign leaders! Then he can insult them and harm our nation’s interests by mistake instead of on purpose.

ā€œHe’s not very articulate.ā€ (Rep. Hunter-R, CA)

No, no, Donald Trump is not very articulate – and nobody is accusing him of that honor. Since he can’t get across what he means to even the casual listener, how do you think he’ll do with Vlad Putin or Angela Merkel or the Castros in Cuba? Or even his mini-idol, Kim Jong Un? Seriously, Mr. Hunter – I am not a college-educated American, I am your average well-educated public school graduate … yet I thought he was blowing a pretty loud dog whistle to the unhinged nuts in America, saying, ā€œHey, when are one of you gonna take this bitch out for me, so I don’t have to worry about her anymore?ā€

That, Mr. Hunter, is what your average human being heard. You asshat.

Ahhh, yes we should send the archetypal ā€œUgly Americanā€ to represent us abroad.
