It’s such a stupid statement because it’s Boehner and his allies who are always going to Pelosi, hat in hand, begging her for votes to either keep the government open or keep the world economy from collapsing.
According to The Hill report, Democrats have said they would help keep Boehner in power if Republican hardliners attempted to unseat him.
If that’s the case, I sincerely hope Democrats agreed to do so only if Boehner guarantees to bring up and provide the votes necessary on key legislation, like a new VRA, criminal justice reform, climate change, and infrastructure spending. I hope Boehner will have to pay a heavy price for their votes.

Pelosi has hinted pretty strongly that she is going to demand a hefty price to bail Boehner out on this one. I take her at her word on this. But I wouldn’t put it pass Boehner to screw up that negotiation, too.
If she does ride to his rescue, Boehner is finished. They WILL primary him, and even if he survived that, he won’t be Speaker again. For all intensive purposes, Boehner will be a Speaker in Exile for his remaining term.

Remember Wall Street came begging for a handout, and we couldn’t even get a temporary moratorium on foreclosures, but hey, here’s trillons for creating this mess in the first place. While i’m a huge fan of Nancy, as a whole Dems suck at negotiations and don’t know how to play hardball

Quite literally. Paulson supposedly got down on one knee and begged Pelosi to whip her people to vote for the bailout, in a room full of witnesses.
Of course, the Bush administration didn’t lift a finger to whip republicans to vote for it. They wanted Pelosi to clean up their mess and then blame her for doing so.

Not to my knowledge. Boehner is pretty safe in his House seat. They continue to make noise about taking away the Speakership, but I haven’t heard any realistic (and by realistic, I mean not the rantings of the children in men’s bodies over on RedState) plans to primary him for his House seat.
That will change if he has to cut a big deal with Pelosi to avoid a shutdown AND to hold on to his Speaker seat. Money will pour out of the woodworks to take him down.
