Discussion for article #246445
A ticket with two Cubans? Yeah, that’ll work out real well (for the Democrats).
In the letter circulated on Wednesday night, Franks suggests that Cruz and Rubio form a unity ticket, with one of them as vice president.
Give it up, Franks. “Cruz - Rubio '16” or “Rubio - Cruz '16” still couldn’t get 40% of the latino vote.
Rubio: My opinion stays that Canadians shouldn’t be allowed to run of office of POTUS.
the real letter…
just as we, Republicans, don’t actually believe in the Constitution neither do we believe or trust our constituents to make a choice for President according to the rules we set forth for our nomination convention…
The Trump Twitter feed should be lively today.
What a dumb idea!
The Republican base has had its brightest, most talented and experienced slate of candidates in nearly 50 years. It has business folk, governors, senators even a neurosurgeon and a dumb Bush.
All of these candidates are highly supported by the Kochheads, corporate kleptocrats and tax evaders. The candidates epitomize the diverse and rich conservative values of authoritarianism, religious extremism, gun massacres, racism and bigotry, war against women, torture and the destruction of individual rights.
I caught the grammatical error in his letter.
It should read, “Rubio AND Cruz should drop out”, not “Rubio OR Cruz…”
Ya think he’ll mention Franks’ hairlip?
Asking either Cruz or Rubio to put his ambitions aside for the good of the party? You might as well appeal to the alligators in Florida to swim down to Mar-a-Lago and eat Trump while he’s walking on the lawn. Either way, you’re looking for altruism, self-sacrifice, and civic-mindedness precisely where you ain’t likely to find it.
One or the other? It doesn’t matter? Should people flip a coin?
I just don’t see any o f the three as viable. Sorry repugs, you are going to lose yet again .
Trent Franks need not worry. Robiot Rubio has read the Constitution during the days he missed Senate sessions. Robiot knows that all the answers are in the bible and that he can win the nomination without winning any of the states.
Sure, neither Rubio nor Cruz have accomplished anything. Nor, for that matter has the Donald. All of them are in race to to support either Bernie or Hillary.
Your fear is making me hard.
Rep. Franks has always been a dim bulb.
I think they may be a bit too late for this.
They should have cleared the lanes after Iowa. Instead they went into SC with 6 candidates, all of who were vigorously fighting for a meaningless 2nd or 3rd place. Even after that fiasco, only 1 dropped, creating a repeat scenario in Nevada.
And STILL nobody is making any moves towards the door!
In less than a week they have Super Tuesday, and with 5 candidates, Trump is almost assured of walking away with the lion’s share of delegates…but on a much bigger level.
While you’re smoking it, Franks, ask Mittens to run again.

Trent Franks (R-AZ)
Not one of my state’s better crops.
I think he senses the damage Trump’s doing to the GOP.
