The mere fact that Bachmann and King (IA) support this legislation guarantees that it is worthless! These 2 intellectually challenged “representatives” are unfortunately typical of the irrational, xenophobic bigots who knowingly choose to disregard the basic principles of the nation.

I may be mistaken, but I seem to remember GOP members complaining in the past about bills being rushed through votes without adequate time to familiarize themselves with the details.

It sounds like that’s what’s going on here. I don’t suppose the difference is that this is a bill they’re pushing, and that they only complain about the bills the Democrats push. I would think they would find that hypocritical and they claim the moral high ground don’t they?

Tang Boner is following the directives of Baby Jane Bachmann and the other idjuts? Might as well resign his Speakership.

Worthless fucks. I wonder if these alleged “Christians” are cognizant of the fact that they are condemning themselves to hell per Matthew 25.

Matthew 25:31-46English Standard Version (ESV)

The Final Judgment
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,[a] you did it to me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

“The goal is to give Republicans political cover to tell their constituents they acted on the border crisis when they go home for recess.”

If THIS is the goal, then why couldn’t they have done it yesterday? Some leadership, they’ve go there.

(Not that I mind watching the Keystone Cops run around looking like morons.)

So…they want to pass a bill to limit what Obama can do but not actually do anything about the issue themselves. Thusly, just not doing anything and making it harder for the executive to do anything.

The GOP blows my mind.

They are following the precedent set in Beirut by their idol, St. Ronnie of Raygun

Well at least it will give Fox News something to talk about besides Benghazi.

Note the first person. By the official Tea Party translation of the Bible, these passages only refer to Jesus. So to stay out of Hell, you only need to treat kids named “Jesus” well. No wonder so many Latinos name their kids Jesus – anchor Jesuses!

And afterward, the MSM, probably led by Chuck Todd, will extoll the sagacity and skill of the GOPTP leaders for pulling its chestnuts out of the fire; and how the ball is now in the Democrats’ court; and how Obama and the Democrats will have a really hard time explaining to the voters, especially Latinos, how they rejected this veritable paean to GOTP political legerdemain.

Wait for it…It WILL happen.

We need more Matthew 25 in our politicians and less Matthew 23.
