Discussion: House GOP Campaign Arm Created Misleading Fake News Sites

Discussion for article #226310

Why does the NRCC need to have misleading fake news sites? They already have Fox News.

Innovation, pure and simple. Pretty soon, they’re just going to go ahead and create their own shadow government and leave us liberals out completely. And then we’ll be sorry.

What are we going to do now? Peter Pan was our best hope at fighting the Pied Piper.

Typical Reich Wing voter suppression/depression. They know they will not win many elections in coming years so they’re desperately grasping at all means of skewing the vote in their favor.

Sadly for them, they keep the same group of low information wingnut voters over and over again when they pander to the IQ lower than a bag of nails demographic.

It’s called pissing into the wind.

Sadly for them, that’s also disproportionately the “waiting for god” demographic.

Don’t fear The Reaper.

When DCCC spokesman Josh Schwerin bashed the approach as “deception,” Bozek responded that Democrats are “just jealous.”

Aside from Bozek’s failure to address the complaint, and instead mouthing a non sequitur, why do so many Republicans sound and speak as if they live their lives in a Junior High School Cafeteria? Are they really that puerile and immature? I used to think it was just a matter of condescending to the level of the RWNJ base. But I’m starting to think that almost all Republicans reason at that level.

I guess this is the modern version of getting your own newspaper.

The Republican base is composed of readers who don’t pay close attention to what news sources they read, if they read at all.

Finally, news they can respect, because they make it all up. RNC minions across the country are clamoring for their validation.
Biobrain is on to something- if we handle this right, maybe we can get them all stuck in the TV, like Max Headroom. Is that more humane than forcing them to continue living with themselves in this accursed reality, where they’re always wrong?

Well, they got their own cable news network.

The GOP has been leading American politics into the gutter since McCarthy and Nixon’s red scares. In the 1970s, Roger Ailes and company took negative advertising even deeper into the muck. The tone of politics will continue to deteriorate across the board, but Republicans truly are the innovators of poli-porn.

If Democrats were jealous, they’d be doing the same thing already. It ain’t rocket science. But their first reaction is, quite reasonably, disgust and anger. If this works for Republicans, though, you can be damn sure the Dems will have to join the GOP in yet another gutter. Who wants to show up empty-handed to a mudslinging contest.

Bureaucrats are already doing it, thanks to Liberty U, Regent, Bob Jones and George W Bush. Pretty clever way to circumvent the apolitical protocols of career employee hiring.

They’re “just jealous”? What is she, like 8 years old?

AGAIN?! They did this in '10 and '12! Surely this has to be illegal on SOME level… or did Citizens United say THIS shit was okay, too?!
