DOH! I wonder if Can’tor could have whipped up some votes… gonna be a rough recess for the baggernuts… I hope.
“This situation shows the intense concern within our conference”, but they will not act. What type of ‘intense concern’ it is Mr. Speaker. Why don’t you tell the American people that your conference do not follow your instructions. What a LEADER you are! Shame on you.
Paralytic Syndrome sounds so much more polite than what I was calling it in my head: a cluster f**k. The Republicans in the House can not get it together to pass one single piece of legislation of any importance. It’s unbelievably sad how pathetic they are. The partisan in me is giddy; the woman who craves a functional country wants something better out of all our elected officials.
Worst HOR ever, but Agent Orange only gets part of the blame for that. The rest goes to those psychotic Teahadists who thought anti-immigration reform bill “didn’t go far enough.” (“PUT 'EM ALL ON A PLANE! GIVE 'EM ALL A PARACHUTE! PUSH 'EM OUT OVER MEXICO!”)
Nailed it. If they look like assholes, and act like assholes…
On to plan b for the Speaker, classify these refugee children as Cuban Fetuses so the GOP will line up in droves to support and vote yes!
Winning is not the issue. 15 to 20% of the seats will control either house. Control is as good as winning.
Oh, hum, yes, yes, it must be boring being you.
They are blaming him. From the McMorris Rodgers mouth:
For the past month, the House has been engaged in intensive efforts to pass legislation that would compel the president to do his job
“Now excuse me, I got a flight to catch.”
From NYT, personally I cheer when I see republicans and negative ramifications in the same sentence.
Republicans did not want to go home without having at least voted to address the crisis at the border — a situation that could have negative ramifications for the November midterm elections, as well as for the 2016 presidential race
Of course. Obama is the devil, and he made them do it.
These guys are the worst. Pathetic.
The repub party has moved very far to right while the Democratic party has more or less stayed where it’s always been, near the center and perhaps a bit to the right. Where would you situate the new party because if you’re thinking of far left, it’s not gonna fly. Well, a third party is not gonna fly wherever you think it should be…
To date, the House has voted on 7 of 12 appropriations bills. Now taking Paul Ryan bets, which won’t materialize because it’s just a betting blueprint, that they won’t make it to nine.
GOP wants no part of fining and or imprisoning white employers who exploit weak labor enforcement.
They don’t do what we want and they can’t do what they want: The House Republicans.
What do they need a vacation from? Work???
Honestly, did this surprise anyone?
To think, every bipartisan bill passed, against Mcturtle’s wishes, in the senate is sitting on boneheads desk effecting numerous subjects to the good of the nation, and there is a lot of them, would pass the house of reps if it was put on the floor for a vote… Think about that. Look it up if you have to. Today is just more proof that no balls bonehead should never have become speaker of the house and numerous reps should just be fired and escorted from D.C. with an order of protection so they can never return. They are an absolute disgrace to the oath they took along with being paid by taxpayers and using our buildings to sustain there meager existence.
If stupid voted for these idiots before, it almost seems impossible they would do it again. I know, stupid is as stupid does. Poor idiots.
Ted Cruz told them not to pass that bill and they didn’t.
Imagine if Cruz controls the Senate in the next Congress as well
Reading insipid drivel like “we need a third party”…?
Yes. I am quite bored with such mindlessness since in a winner take-all non-parlimentary electoral systems (which is what we have due to the Constitutional form of government written into said Constitution) any third party vote (or even a non-voting not cast by an eligible voter) is a de facto vote for one of the two major parties least aligned with your positions or views. It is simple game theory mechanics.
