Discussion for article #225799
someone here already called this within the past few days.
Of course they did.
I predicted this would never see the light of a floor vote.
Paralytic syndrome? Or a new plan (so-called; they don’t have the brains for one) that will force the president to act on his own, so they can sue him again? These GOPers smell to high heaven.
They’ll somehow blame it on Obama.
Ugh, can you believe that the Senate and the White House have totally failed to act on legislation that the House couldn’t even get out of committee? It’s time for the Democrats to take full responsibility for forcing the Republicans to abandon their jobs.
Someone should probably file a lawsuit against the President.
So Boehner want the president to act without congressional approval. Isn’t he suing the president for doing that?
Boehner… “We have worked with focus and intensity and the result is… we have nothing to present to the people we “represent””…
No issue is to important to ignore.
That was the plan from the beginning.
Republicans like to appear to back the middle class but they really favor cheap labor.
Neither party support the American worker; we need a third party.
That’s what I just heard - that the statement coming out of the house announcing that the bill was pulled from the floor will challenge the President to take executive action. Do you believe this!?!
Sorry - posted the same thought while you were typing.
I can fail at being Speaker of the House as often as Bohner does and I’ll do it for half his pay.
Basically, Boehner wants the President to do what he can’t convince his own caucus to do: actually fix the problem.
Today’s Spanish lesson, Commies and Socialists!
Repeat after me:
El Boner es un gran perdedor, Âżverdad?
¡El Partido Republicano es muy tostado!
IF the GOP keeps this up that might actually anger the Latino community so much they might turn out to vote in November and God help the GOP IF that happens. They won’t win another Elections for years to come
No third party has ever won the White House or more than a token seat in Congress.
For our purposes, any third party vote can be considered a Republican vote.
Gutless. The absolute worst House speaker in the history of this nation.
Shhhhhhhhhhh, you’ll make his brain explode!
Go back and read Matt Taibbi’s profile of him in Rolling Stone from 2010. The only thing surprising is that he’s held onto the speaker’s gavel this long.
