Nicely timed to create a cranky weekend for Spanky.

Maybe Barr will follow up with more of the Mueller Report this evening, then?

Use the lawsuit and border shit to try to drown out the russkies…

I assume they’ll get a temporary injunction until the case gets heard.

The military should file a friend of the court brief siding with the Democrats, but that would piss off Trump to no end.

a “brazen assault” on the Constitution.

He is going crazy already.

After a week of statements like “100% will close the border” and the “President is not bluffing” he ‘delays’ the border closure for 1 year (“We’re going to give them a one-year warning”) then says that is fake news (“Somebody said it will take a year. No, it won’t take a year. It’ll take a day. They wrote a lot of fake news. I said in a year,” Trump said.) and today visits "new Wall’

According to the Arizona Republic, the two-mile stretch replacement barrier [i.e., repair of previous wall] he’ll see was authorized prior to when he came into office, but a plaque on the bollards calls it “the first section of President Trump’s border wall.”

Edit (related): Trump suddenly withdraws nomination of acting head of ICE, Ron Vitiello. DHS was blindsided, even claiming to AP Thursday night that report must be a “paperwork error.” CNN reports Stephen Miller was behind the unexpected yank of the 30-year official, citing a “tougher direction” for ICE. Trump is now 0/2 on ICE Directors in past 2 years.

He is certainly showing signs of mental confusion (perhaps some of it is medications), but some of the confusion may be due to people trying to satisfy him in some way, trying to keep him from going completely off the rails. What a sad state to be in, where your own people feel that they have to lie to you and trick you to keep you from hurting yourself further.

I assume these lawsuits seek to enjoin Trump during the lawsuit? This would not let Trump get away with his unconstitutional acts while the cases are pending.

There should have been 100,000 people at the Calexico border crossing, and they should have been repeating maybe two messages, 1, with pictures, “We don’t put children in cages” and 2," the Mueller Report belongs to the American People, all of it, and we want to see it, and Trump’s stooge AG can’t stop it."

Trump is a criminal who should not be controlling the movement of billions of national dollars.

Stephen Miller. Why wasn’t he run out on the same rail used for Bannon and Gorka?

Calexico is rather remote from population centers. And Imperial County is populated by many people who work in the agricultural fields. They aren’t going to be free to attend demonstrations.

The occupant always stand out in a crowd especially in a small border town two hours east of San Diego , population 40,000, on a dry, dusty field in that town because he’s always the one wearing 50 yards of Italian wool… But he’s ready for a hair melt down and has his red MAGA ready to go.

Is that what 239 pounds looks like?

We can’t be sure that’s what he weighs, could be more, but yes, He treats his 50 yds as if it was camo hiding all the fat underneath.

To know him is to hate him and be willing to betray him. As it should be. You can bet Conway is one of the them. No paywall, so go for it if you’re interested.

the list of whistle-blowers who either currently or previously worked in the Trump administration, or who worked closely with the administration, numbers in the “dozens,” according to a senior aide from the committee now led by Democratic Representative Elijah Cummings of Maryland.

If this lawsuit fails, then it’s really, really bad news for the Republic. The Tyrant will do whatever he pleases with impunity, and the 1st Amendment will be dead.

I dunno, maybe the Democrats could have gotten organized and bused people in from all over the country, or from San Diego and L.A. and Riverside and Las Vegas and El Centro and Yuma and Phoenix and Tucson.

The point being these sons of bitches need to be confronted so people are reminded or told or shown how horrid a bunch of pieces of shit they, their actions, and their policies are.

Logistics, tactics, are just means, but without leadership you get 5 guys with a sign. The World needs more than that.
