Discussion: House Dems Sue Trump Admin Over Its Border Wall Plan

The Democrats are liberally scattering little impeachment traps around the landscape. Eventually, Trump is going to step in one.

I don’t see these as clever traps laid in the hope that he will spring one. I see them merely as steps along the progress toward what would at some point inevitably reach the level of impeachment (although Republicans will never cooperate no matter how obvious the problem becomes). There is no need for traps when Trump simply cannot or will not stop himself.

I love the complaint that the hearing was scheduled with too little time for Republicans to “prepare.” I assume that their preparations would mostly be to consult with someone who actually had two brain cells to rub together as the twisted web they weave in defense of the current occupant of the White House becomes increasingly difficult to maintain.

Eventually, he will fall.
I think the law suit is the proper and fitting way to get Trumps attention. It is one of many activities (this one is the most serious as it is a direct flouting of the constitution) that are gnawing away at his suit of Republican armor.

WH security clearances, Tax Returns demands from the Ways and Means committee, House Judiciary grabbing at the report from Special Counsel investigation of Russia meddling in elections, NY attorney general subpoenaed Deutsche Bank and Investors Bank for records related to the financing of four major Trump Organization projects and a failed effort to buy the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League in 2014, House Judiciary subpoenas to 80 people associated with Trump (Priebus, Sater, Bannon, Pecker, McGhan, Kushner, Hicks… etc), inquiries into hurricane relief in Puerto Rico, White House use of personal email, the Comey firing, Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ ouster, the Muslim travel ban, family separation policy at the border, unsecured discussions of classified information at Mar-a-Lago, administration dealings with North Korea and Saudi Arabia,
Cabinet members past and current ethics scandals (Price, Zenke, Pruitt…etc).

Miller was hiding in the woodwork at the time.

Perhaps it is still too sticky from the previous uses for anyone to handle it again.

Stop this idiot by any means necessary!

Not snark.

Gotta admit, though, no drug lords are gonna get over that fence ; - )

I think it’s entirely possible that’s what he weighs. Just look at how wide he is there, compared to a number of other people there some of whom are not at all slender. Look at his legs. That’s an obese person.

As one who wears glasses myself… I have tried to balance mine as Chuck Schumer does so easily. I cannot. The man’s glasses defy gravity! How does he do it?

Keep the fried KFC and fast food cheese burgers in front of him. Likely that end game will come to fruition before an indictment or impeachment will at the rate the DoJ and/or Congress are moving. Three scoops at every meal! Lots and lots of that lucious chocolate cake from Mar-a-Lago. Maybe just two scoops of lard on his morning cereal would speed the process.
