Shorter GOP House: Stop the World I want to get off… put everything on hold only my re-election counts!

Why don’t they just stay home and have their paychecks direct-deposited? Save all those travel expenses and cost of maintaining two residences.

Man. I wish my job had that kind of flexibility.

Yet they still suck off the teet of the US taxpayer collecting undeserved paychecks from YOU.

Man, they just can’t stop working hard for us, huh?

But what about the 586th vote to repeal ObamaCare.

Wouldn’t want the Senate trying to pass some important legislation while the Dems still hold the majority, now would we? Oh no, we would not!

Maybe we can convince the Republicans in the House to just take a permanent vacation and not ever come back to Washington.

If they lived at home and traveled occasionally to DC for special events, maybe their constituents would have a bigger role in their decision making, rather than lobbyists?

In the Information Age, with the internet and satellite technology available that makes the original Horse and Buggy DC model terminally obsolete, the only reason to put all our lawmakers in one city is so either the lobbyists can own them more easily, or terrorists can get at them all at once.

Bring House members HOME and make them stay there most of the time, doing their governing online and by email and PD, it is already happening.

VIRTUAL CONGRESS!!!

Make them answer to their voters EVERY DAY, not just when they take a vacation.

No surprise, election year and all. They were supposed to end Friday but went into session a day early this week. Syria, some ambassador confirmations, and votes on naming local post offices, and that was about it for the week.

Edit: They were supposed to be in session the week of the 29th but passed the CR.

They’ll have plenty of time to campaign and go on the teevee to catapult their propaganda, so, the system works, as they set it up.

The best well paying part time jobs in the world. Only the voters can clean up this mess, but history has shown voting against self-interest is national pastime. Good luck to us all.

What no vote to repeal obamacare? pifft…why did they even bother to show up…can’t even be troubled to do their primary job.

How nice to know that the deadbeats in the House passed a CR so the gov’t can keep functioning … with 2.5 days remaining.

It was something they should have dealt with 6 months ago.

The House schedule indicates 113 +/- working days while the Senate is in session around 190 days for the calendar year 2014.

Some recent polling has come to my attention indicating Republican leads in

people 18-44
people 45-64
whites
men

Also polling that indicated “more public trust in Republicans in the fight against terror”

And now this story about the adjourning of Congress this early.

That pretty much confirms that we are truly in the “Information Age”.

Because misinformation is also a form of information.

And they wonder why they have a 0% approval rating.
