Discussion: Hillary Clinton To Deliver Remarks At 9:30 A.M

Twice she expected to win, and twice she lost. This time to a buffoon, a madman, our new Gropin-Fuehrer Trump. That has to hurt.

There plenty of missteps. Debbie Whatshername Schultz helped create this path to America’s probable implosion. Donna Brazile helped out, too. And then we have the spectacle that was Bill Clinton.

A smug, tone deaf campaign, convinced that it was invincible, using a flawed, tepid plan to elect a flawed, tepid candidate. What can she say, except, “Dear America, I am so sorry. I should have never run. Even I realized that my baggage was larger than a speeding locomotive, yet I assumed I could leap tall buildings with a single bound. My arrogance, my closed minded approach, my bubble in which I willingly placed myself, all of these steps and errors of judgment led to the election of a fascist, sexist, vile creep. Blame me. I do.”

But such honesty will never cross her lips.

If disenchanted Sanders supporters end up a factor in Trump’s victory they’ll need a long sit down with themselves. They were upset that he lost a primary to HRC and that they felt that Primary was rigged. They’ve said as much. But if that anger motivated them to vote Trump they were reckless and unthinking. Bernie Sanders would have been a powerful Senator in a Clinton Administration. He’d have her ear anytime he wanted it and he’d get stuff done even with Democrats in the minority. In Trump’s administration he’ll be a seat warmer. If Sanders voters turned this election to Trump they should reckon with the fact that they also ended Sanders career. Ended his vision and his dreams. He is no one now. Nothing now. Just an old man keeping a seat warm until Vermont can replace him with a wingnut.

If you wanted Bernie’s vision of America to be America you shot that down with a Trump vote. It will never happen now. With a President Clinton you’d have had some of it. With Trump you’ll get it’s antithesis as well as a Right Wing SCOTUS that will shoot down future Bernie’s for 30 years or more.

Well, it was a nice planet while it lasted.

It is a lot more complex than that, to be honest. There is a lot of anger from a lot of people that all they’ve had over the last forty years is a long shower of shit and piss (and for the Millennials, it’s been a short sharp shower of excrement). The problem is that, instead of fighting back hard and going to their traditional base of the lower classes. the Democrats have been terrified of waging a “class war”; have failed to support unions as they’ve been busted (or at least failed to support them effectively), and failed to fight to fix the problems when they came up.

Oh, I am not letting the Sanders supporters who voted for Johnson or Stein off the hook either. Third Party Candidate protest votes are not votes against a rigged system. Did you idiots not learn anything from Brexit? People voted for it out of a sense of protest and the next day realized just how horrifying the world was going to be if they actually pulled that trigger. Luckily for them, they actually have a couple of outs. Unlucky for the US, we do not. We are stuck with Trump until at least 2020 (unless the GOP can reach an agreement with Schumer to oust Trump via impeachment), but unless that happens, our best hope for protecting what we have for the lower classes is Schumer doing to the GOP what they did to Obama- block everything. Truthfully, I had hoped that McMullen could have won Utah, but I suspect that was unlikely.

And finally- this is why I never believed that Clinton had an absolute lock on the Presidency. And this is why I often feel like Cassandra. Next time, let us not let the media pick our Presidential Candidates.

Mornin’ friend. I am sure you believe what you just said but you are just not correct.

Prez. Obama saved this country from economical disaster and he was berated for it and certainly got no credit. Hillary intended to build on that success and even had detailed plans available for folks to read. People don’t want to read because they want a vision of party hats and noise makers provided in ten seconds.

For god’s sake look objectively at the anti-Hillary programs and ask yourself why we were all exposed to things we shouldn’t have been privy to and why on only one side. The press failed for years and didn’t provide that honest display of information that it used to do when Cronkite was alive.

Don’t blame Hillary for what’s happened because she tried to save our asses and we didn’t want to listen. Well now it’s is single-party “party time” and we demanded it. What happens now is on us.

So many people who cast a protest vote, who just sat out, who insisted the two candidates were both evil, who even voted for the fascist out of spite, just haven’t yet realized this – you are going to so profoundly, so devastatingly lose what you have taken for granted and have enjoyed till this moment. I’m not sure how we could ever recover from this.

Hillary has got to tell the truth as she sees it and be brutally honest. Nobody will applaud her if she does but if she doesn’t do it now it won’t get said. Don’t couch truth in politic-speak just be honest.

The second thing is to pack up her family and move to another country while moving the Clinton Foundation headquarters in the same direction. She can’t help us now because “we” didn’t want it.

She and her family need to get out of range because the shit will soon hit the fan and she doesn’t deserve to get any on her. Good luck and God’s speed.

If she could not win against a cartoon character, she truly deserved to lose. People are already trying to make excuses. They are wrong. She was a flawed candidate from the beginning and the DNC needs to be held accountable for not coming up with someone suitable.

I think you bought the goods. What can Democrats do in states that had unions busted? The only way you can bust unions is to do it in states where Democrats are not in power. That’s why it’s only been done that way. Same for voter suppression. Can’t do it in a state with Democrats in power but yo can where they are not. So lets dispense with the medias boxed and wrapped talking points. If you want an army to fight you have to give it weapons. If you want a political party to fight you have to give it a majority. Voters haven’t done that. And they got what they voted for. If it’s not what they wanted then they have only themselves and their gullibility to blame.

Anger. They are in pain. They are hurting. Says who? Frank Luntz ( because the doddering idiot Charlie Rose doesn’t tell his audience who Luntz is ) . That anger was served up to them. They were told they were angry before they knew they were. Anger blinds you. It forces bad decisions. That’s why the GOP pushed that trope.

Millennials. If they voted for Trump they voted for a far Right SCOTUS that will govern their lives until the reach their 50’s. If they are that dumb they deserve what they get. If millennials cut their noses off to spite their faces let em bleed.

This was a necessary election. The GOP;s been BS’ing America for a long time. They have no room now. It’s put up or shut up time. There will be no anger assuaged by a wall. There will be no wall. There will be no jobs coming back. More will go. ISIS will stick around. Wall street won’t be tamed by a Billionaire with a gold plated escalator just a few blocks from Wall Street. Elites won’t be marginalized by a king elite like Trump. Illegals probably will go. Voluntarily because our country will not do well under Trump. But it was a necessary election. In time you won’t be able to call a spade anything but a spade. They only way we get there is electing that spade. Done. Unfortunately for guys like me, age 65, ill not see the end. Ill not be around when folks wake up and find out Pepe really is Pepe. But I know it’s coming.

Hillary Clinton To Deliver Remarks At 9:30 A.M.

Well good fucking bye Hillary. And take your husband and precious daughter with you.

Get the fuck out, go back to the Pig Rich Club, cry your eyes out and continue your quest to become billionaires.

And NO, you’re not really good people. Tell it to each other but the rest of us have to now deal with what you created in all your duplicity and dishonesty. Just GO AWAY.

“The GOP;s been BS’ing America for a long time.”

True, but so has the Democratic Party. See last night’s election results if it’s still not clear enough for you. I’m surprised. You usually deal in reality. Dems FU’ed big time. Can’t any of you Hillary supporters come out and just admit it?

Richard…I watch and observer. I have done so my whole life. I study patterns and stories in ways which, quite frankly, most people never really comprehend because to me, I see the stories and patterns as part of my life. I did not buy into someone else’s narrative. I listened to the narrative created by these people. YOU are looking at the last, what, decade? I’m looking back over two hundred years worth of narratives and patterns and seeing when things changed and how. When did the tenor of the story change? I’ve talked to these people and seen their houses.

This era is like the Industrial Revolution. The world that people know is changing and they don’t get why it is changing. Back in 1980, Ronald Reagan began a narrative when he said “Government is the problem, not the solution”. This was directed by the rich towards the FDR and Eisenhower Eras which put more power and money into the middle and lower classes. The GOP went to work chipping away at the bonds which brought lower class minorities and Whites together. And rather than counter the narratives which the GOP was spreading going back to Nixon, but which grew prominently under Reagan, the Democrats pulled towards the middle and abandoned the working classes.

Oh, there’s a large level of stupidity involved, and the Millennials who have been fed a load of crap about how the world would be and could be are a large part of it, but the reality is that this did not happen over night. And there is a lot of anger. The thing is, we can fight it. The problem is, will anyone actually fight what is going on or are they willing to let the country be doomed?

The Dems started effing up back around 1976.

As I say elsewhere, they didn’t fight back, at least not effectively.

True. But I don’t think the just way to deal with Democratic BS’ing is to elect Trump. It’s a popular thing to say…“The Dem’s do it too” but there’s not many examples of it. Give men an example of “building a wall” style BS’ing by Democrats. Or " your gonna get sick of winning" caliber BS’ing by Democrats. I agree no pol is heads honest but you are stuck with what you vote for. Trump was the worst choice out there. By far the worst. I don’t see what is fixed by voting for the worst choice.

What are you going to fight it with? Lets put it on the table. Last night the American people put a manifestly bad man in the White House. He won’t help you in your fight. But he will make at least 4 SCOTUS picks ( the current vacancy, Ginsgurg, Kennedy and probably Thomas ) making that court a clearing house for right wing lunacy. You’ll get no help there. The House and Senate are under GOP’er control. All 3 branches of the Federal Government are under right wing control. No help there. Hell the FBI is in with em. Trumps cabinet proposals are a nightmare. Giuliani as AG? Newt as Sec of State? maybe those won’t be the picks but that’s where we are now. No help there.

Now it doesn’t matter how old a bullshit issue is. It can date back to the Pilgrims or just a week. It’s still bullshit. “they are angry”…that’s bullshit. “They are hurting” that’s bullshit. They are just expressing what they’ve been told to. But they’ve opted to cut their hand off because of a painful hangnail. So be it. But they sure as hell aint going to fight with you. Read this thread. It’s filled with folks blaming “the Democrats” or Clinton for this mess. You going to fight the democrats or Clinton? Who is going to “fight” and what will they fight for?

sorry, but i don’t buy any of the bullshit about her being a weak or bad candidate. she was a great candidate. lifelong public servant – from college, through first lady, to the senate, to secretary of state. there has been a concerted effort on the right for 20+ years to smear and destroy her. to ruin her reputation. to sow seeds of suspicion around here, with no soil in which to plant those seeds. nevertheless, if you throw down enough seed, eventually a few will find a foothold in the concrete.

the media aided and abetted these efforts the last few months. almost no time spent reporting on policy, but rather almost all of it spent on stolen emails (which showed zippy) and her email practices, which have been thoroughly investigated. that’s all we heard leading up to the election. emails emails emails. nothing about what trump would actually DO as president. nothing about what his policy prescriptions mean for the country. nothing about the complete veil hanging over his global business interests, his global political relationships, to whom he might be indebted or beholden. nothing. just emails emails emails.

she was a great candidate – more qualified than any i can remember in my life (i’m 43 so i don’t go back that far). but she was the victim of a decades long smear campaign, aided and abetted by a profit-seeking media.

IMO
