Oh please, y’all really are that fucking stupid.
Obviously some of Lenny Bruce rubbed off on Hatch, which is understandable since they slept together for a few months one summer back in the 60s.*
*Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Actually, I find it pretty plausible that this was in fact a lame attempt at humor on the part of Team Hatch.
On the other hand, it does lack that essential element of GOP “humor,” namely cruelty. Which is probably why nobody realized it was supposed to be a joke.
Yeah, and we’re in on the joke that Senator Hatch is a despicable power-hungry and cruel person.
It seems Hatch and his cohorts weren’t paying attention to this bit of campaign promise humor.
When they have to tell you that they got it:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
This is the best part. The denial or rationalization that something said is now a joke. The repubs are experts at the “just kidding” excuse. And the fact that all of us had to wait all day for the mess to be wiped up makes the joke even more jokey…or something. Those gosh darn republicans with their twitters and jokes. It’s just too much high jinxing for me!
Well, there you have it. It’s all a joke now.
Oooooooooooooooookay.
The words from their mouths are trial balloons to see which way the wind (public sentiment) is blowing. If they get laughed at, then they were just joking, and the joke is on the public for believing the GOP was serious, to begin with. If they get praised for their words, however, then that proves they were right all along, and that then becomes their new talking point.
"Also worth noting that if Hatch had retired every time the Tribune is suggesting he should have, there would be no:
Americans with Disabilities Act8 year daily obstruction of President Obama.Children’s Health Insurance ProgGorsuch on SCOTUS.Orphan Drug ActTraitor letter to Tehran promising to sabotage the US Commander-in-Chief.Generic Drug Industry (Hatch/Waxman)$1.5 trillion tax-rape of non-billionaires.RFRASenate witch hunt into Planned Parenthood.I could go on for days…"
So could I.
Yeah, the very first things I think of when I think of Hatch is his amazing wit and how he’s always in on the joke. What a hoot! Never a dried up old milquetoast who doesn’t even seem to get what’s going on around him.
How pitiful are he and his team of liars?
Oh, that Orrin! He’s so well known for his deadpan humor, we should have known at once what was up. What a card!
(Is it deadpan, or just dead?)
Hatch is senile and disconnected from reality. He thinks we are too.
Very pathetic = if you have noticed like I have that he has to have an aide whisper in his ear to tell him what to say all the time.
I’m still waiting to be let in on that joke about Republicans colluding with Russia and selling our country down the river. Because, so far, I’m not laughing.
And he would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids!
It is kind of hilarious, in a Three Stooges poke in the eye sort of way.
Here, pull my finger.
Oh, Mary! You GOP fucktards wouldn’t be “in on the joke” even if someone took it, put it in a Pringles can, slathered it with Astroglide, and shoved it up Orrin’s ass.
