Discussion: Harry Reid To Republicans: You Better Not Block Us From Replacing Scalia

Double good. LOL and a tip of the hat to Bette Davis.

Thank you harry–and I think we should impeach them to boot for failing to fulfill their constitutional duty. What a bunch of frauds. . .saying Obama doesn’t dollow the constitution and then refusing to perform their constitutionally mandated jobs.

Trump–Scalia shows great weakness in dying…

Good point. I had forgotten the details. In any case, as close as this election is likely to be, Democrats should argue that the country needs a full court on standby. Makes a good sound bite, too.

How long will Thomas last now that the heart that supplied his brain is gone?

You can bet he probably already has an appointment for a checkup –

He is looking to get in on the organ replacement plan that Dick Cheney uses.

Removed because I’m math deprived. Don’t let the English majors try to count things!

The four “liberal” justices are Ginsberg, Sotomayor, Kagan and Breyer. Kennedy is one of the conservative gang of five who sometimes will lean toward the liberal justices.

I tend to agree with you. I think there’s a bit of decorum that you have to maintain, even with people you may loathe. I just keep thinking that his bestie on the court was Justice Ginsberg and in my book, anyone who the Notorious RGB likes can’t be all bad.

Shit. I need to learn to count, don’t I?

If he nominated a Hispanic and they were denied even a vote… imagine the Democratic turnout!

Even Hitler had Charisma. It’s a trait of all of the worst and most insidiously evil excuses for human beings.

One of the Castro brothers (from Texas) might be a nice move.

I have a feeling that when they were having dinner and attending the opera, Scalia wasn’t slinging vitriol like he was when reading dissents. RBG got to see a side of him we didn’t. Possible for RBG to like him and many of us make negative comments about him at the same time.

I met the man once not too long ago at a civic education event and I will tell you that he did not have a lot of charisma. He was very full of himself. I think he has made some nasty partisan and intellectually dishonest decisions, but I don’t think that makes him Hitler. It may be a little too early in the evening for Godwin’s Law to rear it’s ugly head.

Knowing how fond of him RGB was, I really do send my best to her. Even in friendships opposites can attract.

You just know when they argued over dinner she never backed down.
