If it wasn’t for the dire Senate landscape of 2018, I would say good riddance to Manchin. But unfortunately, Dems need to hold onto as many seats as possible and Manchin is probably their best hope in W Va.
Of course, I wouldn’t mind Manchin getting the Trump humiliation treatment before not receiving anything just to humble him a bit. Might make him a bit feistier against Trump policies in the Senate.
We can’t afford to lose this guy from the Senate now. Damn Harry… I wish you a well deserved and happy retirement, but still…

Forget being out of fucks to give, he’s got a Reverse No-Fucks Mortgage going on! He’s spending fucks he doesn’t even have yet! 
I’ve had torrid encounters with less-appealing candidates. 
The TP though really completes the ruination of the scene.
If Trump even becomes president, there’s a good chance he implodes or just becomes completely toxic. Democrats might be able to get Collins to flip. Hell, maybe even Graham or Rand Paul.

I wonder if current Governor Earl Ray Tomblin could win reelection. West Virginia just elected another Democrat for governor so conceivably he could appoint Tomblin. No idea when this poll was taken but it shows Tomblin with a 60/29 approval/disapproval rating.
That is exactly what I was thinking. Got to keep those surged pharmas spiking and feeding the family coffers.
Tomblin would be a good choice, he’s somewhat to the left of Manchin and as clean as a West Virginia politician gets. He’s a much better person than Manchin, and he’s fairly popular here in WV. I’m missing him already. I actually think we stand a better chance holding this seat if Tomblin is in it on election day 2018.
Harry seems to believe Democrats would be better off without him. Not sure why, but he clearly does.
We can’t afford to run SCARED anymore. We have tip toed around these aholes for the last 6 years and lost everything. It’s time to pull up our big girl panties and take these jerks ON. Stop the mealy mouthed BS and SLAM THEM on t he unworkable garbage they put out there as policies and actually TALK TO THE PEOPLE.
Manchin is a prime example of why I strongly dislike the DNC backing Blue Dog Democrats. Time and time again the Blue Dogs never hesitate to kick the party when it matters. I would rather see the DNC back more progressives than to spend another penny on Joe Manchin and his kind again.
So you want the GOP to have all the Senate seats and House seats in red states.
