The GOP has been manufacturing an alternate reality for six years and what’s really CRAZY is they now BELIEVE THE FICTION and treat it as the truth… The GOP just can’t govern and the only thing they can do is LIE…

Hutzpah or Chutzpah the sentiment is the same. I’d term it the height of Arrogance for the Terrapin to take credit for anything considering the whole repub program was to oppose every last thing the democrats wanted to do, good, bad, or indifferent.

Why isnt Reid on every Sunday News Show screaming this @ the top of his lungs?. If there was ever a perfect meme for the dems to take into 16’ cycle this is one of them. Are the dem party strategists asleep or what. Whats worse is that McConnells statement has gone unchallenged since he said it…

According to Mitch McConnell, the election of a republican controlled congress is the reason for the recent good economic news. If that is the case, then isn’t that also the reason for the lower wages? Or, are republicans, like cowards, taking responsibility for only the good news, while blaming someone else for any bad news?

Guess Reid will forgo the strongly-worded-letter route now that he’s no longer Senate Majority Leader…

You’re right Harry, but this defense of the Obama economy is too little too late.

These arguments should have been made since 2012.

According to Republicans:

economic growth during Reagan Admin. = Reagan

spending increases during same admim. = Democratic controlled Congress

economic growth during Clinton Admin. = Republican controlled Congress

spending increases during same admin. = Clinton

1st 7 years of G. W. Bush Admin. = collective Republican amnesia

last year of same admin. that experienced the subprime mortgage crisis and the resulting economic meltdown = Democratic controlled Congress

57 months of job growth and record highs on the stock market = Republicans winning a mid-term election 2 months ago

Republicans have been doing this kind of crap for awhile.

Very few Democratic leaders are invited on those Sunday shows, especially ones that don’t go along to get along. And if one manages to be invited, they’re allowed to be talked over, interrupted and discredited by the other 3 or 4 right leaning panelists.

“Post hoc ergo proctor hoc” ~~ logical fallacy and episode title of one of the best “West Wing” episodes.

Also reminds me of that one liner from Al Gore back in one of his presidential debates “… is like the rooster claiming credit for the sunrise”
