No kidding. God forbid he should crack open a book and blow dust off the logic skills to realize some of the things that happened while those rates were in place:

  • Won WWII
  • Continued to build up a large military
  • Became the largest economy in the world
  • Growth of many private corporations

So Chafee sits there and allows Hannity to abuse him? " How much tax do you think is fair on a 10 million dollar a year income Mr. Hannity…after all that’s what you make"…“How much do you need to keep and how much is fair for a guy making 38,000 a year to pay”…

Hannity licensed Chafee to let it all hang out. And he did not do that.

Well, now we KNOW why he is the weakest link anyway – he should have been able to answer that question! What Republicans always leave out is that money is taxed at the same rate UP TO whatever…in this case $750,000. AFTER that, the percentage goes up to whatever he has chosen. The fact that he started with $200,000 and then went to $750,000; and from 60% to 40%, and never really explained what I just did, shows that he needs to just go home.

Why is he running? I just don’t get it.
