Sincere question: Why does Russia focus on Trump’s innocence instead of their own?
Fox News host Sean Hannity was displeased Easter Sunday that reporters pointed out that Russian television has been using clips of his monologues insisting on Trump’s innocence in light of the redacted Mueller report.
And this is a problem for Hannity how? Sounds to me like this is just the kind of coverage he needs for himself and Individual-1
“Maybe the Daily Beast should look at itself and the rest of the Fake News industrial complex in America, as they are no better than Russian propaganda outlets—perhaps even worse,” Hannity raged in a 13-part Twitter thread.
I note in passing that it’s not the Daily Beast that Russian TV has been using in its stories.
And why would this clown be surprised?
Any mention of Hannity, here on TPM, or elsewhere, should include at least mention (with a citation or two) that Hannity is really an entertainer, NOT a journalist. He is not part of the Fox news staff, as Fox makes plain.
Viewed through this lens, one can see that Hannity’s protests are not really protests, but just a part of his schtick as an entertainer. And a fabulously wealthy one at that. He might have himself fooled into thinking he’s a news analyst and editorial commenter, but that doesn’t pass the laugh test.
I still want to know what Michael Cohen was doing for him.
That might just come out in the wash they’re still working on over at the SDNY.
