Follow Julia Davis on Twitter, and you’ll see her regularly post clips from Russian television in which they openly joke about having swayed the election in Trump’s favor . . . and, not quite as regularly, harshly critique Trump’s weakness as a president.

Brooks mentions a way into the clip that we’re a counrty where the president is the one guy in control and he’s and idiot, what should we do? And all I can think is, we have systems to handle this in place if current republicans would put country over party! Shields points out the only thing saving us right now is the folks that were around Donald knew he was an idiot and didn’t do what he asked. But where are we now?

Russia is inordinately proud of their role in getting trump elected. They brag about it all the time on Russian state TV. On election night, Russians were watching as intently as we were, and there was cheering and a national celebration when trump won. He’s “their boy.”

Brooks has blinders on, he’s living and then promoting attitudes that are a couple of decades ago. I don’t think being a ‘moderate’ voice means you have to ignore, or at least be charitable in the motivations of the politicians on the Right.

Brooks isn’t as much a moderate as he is a disingenuous piece of shit. He always has an agenda to look the other way whenever the GOP has their dicks exposed because they forgot to zip up their fly. Sure he’s embarrassed, but not because dicks are exposed. He’s embarrassed because the zipper wasn’t stitched properly by the system of checks and balances, set properly by the seamstress, and the fact that they forgot close it is entirely because even if they had tried, they weren’t able to do so anyway. So, whatyagonnado about it? Guess we should just wait and see with the next election. Ho-hum.
Brooks dissembles with the kind of agitprop that only someone as inauthentic as Brooks can, and this somehow passes as legitimate commentary? Its hard for me to understand how or why anyone still listens to his mealy-mouthed bullshit anymore. He’s such a GOP fluffer and professional political bullshitter, mild mannerisms aside. Not once does Brooks go after the GOP for enabling the criminal at 1600 from having done so much damage already. That’s the most salient point and the point of no return, which he knows according to the party is off limits for him to speak about.
And Shields wants another outside commission to investigate this mess?? WTF? Brooks says this is a borderline case to go after as a scandal because as a scandal like Watergate, maybe even worse, he hates to see this become the norm? Again, WTF? Has he been asleep for the last three years or something. He says he wants umpires but no one to actually make the final call on the matter…Go figure that one out.
