Discussion: 'Hamilton' Actor On Pence Dustup: There's 'Nothing To Apologize For'

I tell ya…It’s a full-time job, trying to remain sane…

I’m sure alcohol and weed sales are going through the roof.

Mexico isn’t going to build his wall and Broadway is not about to apologize. What will be Trump’s next failed bullying act?

Funnier still are the Rethugs calling for a boycott. These are the same morons that are teaching Starbucks a “lesson” by ordering $5 cups of coffee and having the barista write Herr Coir Coif’s name on the cup.

If one didn’t know better one could get the impression they are a bunch of ignorant braying jackasses.

That’s right. The American people are sovereign in the US; our public officials need to bear that in mind.

Here in sunny California we passed a law this election legalizing weed, and not a minute too soon.

Tweeting insults at the USA Freedom Kids.

BEYOND THE PALE!

Brandon Dixon, who plays vice-president Aaron Burr, stepped forward and took out a piece of paper-
"Mike Pence, we welcome you here. We are the diverse Americans who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents.”Or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights … we hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and work on behalf of all of us,” he continued, to rising cheers.
“We thank you for sharing this wonderful American story, told by a diverse group of men and women of different colors, creeds and orientations,”

AMERICA DEMANDS AN APOLOGY!

But technically, you can’t stop an audience from booing Pence…
Trump’s a pretty good business man tho, I gotta admit- for the price of one Tweet he got America to forget he had just settled a quarter-billion dollar swindle of vulnerable retirees life savings for pennies on the dollar!
Pretty good ROI in both cases.

No it could not. Trump approves the access. It is ludicrous to speculate that he would deny his own wife who is legitimate enough to raise his kids kids and to give speeches on his behalf.

You don’t think Sessions is going to let you keep that do you? Dubya’s Justice Dept. didn’t, and I don’t think the incoming administration is going to tow the Obama line on it either.

You do understand don’t you that states have their own criminal justice system and the federal government can’t tell them what to do about that. Unless there is a constitutional issue and there isn’t.

Drug laws are mainly a state issue. There are federal drug laws but the laws that are enforced the most day in and day out are the state laws, not the federal laws.

Ha!

I do understand that these are state laws, but you do not seem not to realize that the only reason these state exchanges exist is due to the fact that the Obama Justice Dept. has declined to enforce Federal Law on the subject. It’s called the Cole Memo. Last time California passed a medical marijuana law, Bush sent in the feds to shut it down. Given their stance on everything else, I fully expect that this will be one of the many executive orders that the incoming adminstration will undo.

Well we’ll see what happens.

Two points. I think there’s a chance Session won’t be confirmed because he exceeds the crazy quotient even the senate allows. Next point, as @tena, smartest TPMer I know, points out. California is a sovereign state. We’re keeping ACA, weed laws, and more. My governor, Jerry Brown is going to build a wall around California. It’ll be a thousand miles long to keep out the foreigners (and the Feds). h/t Paul Simon

'fraid so. Hope to be wrong though my state is unaffected.
