And although there’s usually no reason to mention or think about her, it would be wrong not to single out Sarah Palin as the meanest, stupidest, and most hypocritical of the people who used this situation to attack Barack Obama. I’d certainly rate it as one of the lowest things I’ve ever seen in what passes for politics today.

For some reason, I reminded of the mysterious way millions of “SUPPORT THE TROOPS!” magnets that had been displayed on millions of cars for several years just mysteriously vanished in January, 2009. It was very mysterious, it was.

Buck McKeon, the chairman of the committee, loves the Afghanistan war, would increase taxes to fund wars rather than cut Pentagon budget, and overall is channeling Ron R in his approach to governance. “You lied” Wilson is also on the committee. On the Democratic side ranking member is Adam Smith who wants to close Guantanamo. Chuck Hagel’s on an uphill mission.

Lets face it, nearly all the anti-Bergdahl and family hate comes from Fox News, right wing talk radio, Chris Matthews, Andrea Mitchell and Morning Joe. CNN and parts of MSNBC have been pretty even handed and restrained. While we expect this kind of crap from Fox News, right wing talk radio and Morning Joe, we don’t from Chris Matthews and Andrea Mitchell. Shame won’t work with the others, but maybe Matthews and Mitchell will think before they pop off the next time.
