Well, I suppose I’m OK with that. Perhaps Texas will become a no-go zone for, uh, people who don’t want to open carry weapons and intimidate others with threats of violence?

In 1968, when the nation was begging for people to step up for the War in Asia, when the Draft was kicking people’s ASS, when droves were heading to Canada, when the narrative portrayed in the film “Forrest Gump” was REAL, when the body bags contained friends (I lost at least TWO), when every male either was scared of getting drafted or KNEW someone who was scared ot getting drafted…
I encountered few of these here types of mental midgets, whom I can assure all of you half would piss in their pants when the first round went off In Country–and the other half would beg Charlie for Mercy.
That tells me everything I need to know about the motive of the Powers That Be in eliminating the Military Draft.
Look at our military situation:
We have an ISIS threat. We have a Ukraine threat. We have a potential Climate-induced threat (according to the Pentagon). That’s right now, for starters. And we have an entire Generation of people who KNOW that they will most likely not be asked to sacrifice a TOENAIL for their country.
And who, therefore, are perfectly happy to assault shopping centers in Lubbock.

Yes, but they are Texans and that was their goal ll along. tehwhole stae is already a no go zone for me. It could only be improved by a bunch of Muslim terrorists.
These are the folks who claim they are nice citizens who oppose violence, say they are no threat to other citizens and just need to open carry to protect themselves from some unforeseen incident (Terrorists!, Illegals!) that chances are about as likely to happen as a lightning strike.
Note to Tarrant County Open Carry: When you want to persuade others to allow open carry of firearms, do not say “hunt down” in speaking of those who do not agree with you. Those on the fence of the issue are not likely to say “Yeah. These are exactly the kind of guys I want carrying firearms openly in my county.”
