Discussion: Guess Who Thinks Trump’s Carrier Deal Was Really Just ‘Crony Capitalism'

Ha, Ha Thanks for the laugh!

1-Guess she didn’t get the cabinet position.
2-Geeeezus- we have to be on the same team now?
3-Even Orwell, long in the grave, is spinning at high speed from all the cognitive dissonance in the air. The water, the soil….next it will be in the damn beer!

“When government steps in arbitrarily with individual subsidies, favoring one business over others, it sets inconsistent, unfair, illogical precedent," she wrote.

“she wrote?” I don’t think so.

I thought “Bush ethics” would be the knee-slapper of the day, but that was before “Palin op-ed.”

Yeah, that whole statement is distinctly non-Palinesque. Far too literate.

I figured the dusty mummy of Solyndra would be dragged in this discussion.

In clearly what is a false equivalence, Palin compares the bribing of Carrier to Obama’s efforts to build an entire industry. Efforts that were successful.

Is anyone sane in the GOP?

I’m not sure if Palin wrote this herself, but if she did, she has more going on in that head than I have previously given her credit for.

I really despised the redevelopment program in California. It was a transfer of taxpayer funds to select developers chosen in private. The state had to make up for the loss of property taxes to the schools, which almost bankrupt the state. It was costing the state billions every year… Jerry Brown ended redevelopment, and California has been thriving since then. Another plus is that stopped the cities from building even more shopping centers. They wanted sales the sales tax and didn’t give a damn if there was already a glut of retail. My mantra has always been that taxes should go to provide services, not as an investment on getting a greater share of sales tax than the next town. Every dollar that went to subsidize development meant a dollar less for services.

Meanwhile, Ann Coulter is really ticked off about the Medicare business, tweeting that this was not what Trump voters were voting for and that if Paul Ryan wants to eliminate Medicare, then he should run for President on that platform.

When you’ve lost Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter, you’ve lost Real America™, and it’s not even January 21 yet.

Pass the popcorn, please, along with a strong Martini, if you don’t mind.

It’s a truly sad state of affairs when you’re not even competent enough to serve under the Game Show Host President.

I mean - the bar is really low.

She’s stupid like a fox.

Sarah is a genuine populist hero. And she knows it.

Even when she makes sense, she doesn’t make sense.

At least our time remaining will be entertaining.

“…government steps in arbitrarily with individual subsidies, favoring one business over others, it sets inconsistent, unfair, illogical precedent,”

That sounds like the governor of Alaska - not the nutjob who was John McCain’s running mate.
