No. Those two comments are not the same. Any sane person knows that and understands why.

Not even in the same ballpark, Grassman. Not even a good try.

I agree,
There is not much difference between me calling Grassley “a stupid fcuking cracker”, and Grassley, himself choosing to have some saltines with his soup.

Jeffery Lord’s defense last night on CNN set a new level to incoherent. It went beyond convulated, but basically boiled down to…Its not that Trump is racist, its that the GOP isn’t racist enough. That his comments are only a big deal because the GOP has gotten soft and accepted the notion that everyone is equal in this country.

It was such a load of bullshit, and he ran it around in such weaving circles, that even though literally everyone else was condemning him and shooting holes in it…that they missed the bigger point he was trying to make or were simply flabbergasted that he would trot out such an argument as a defense.

Wow, Grassley IS bending over backwards to lose his seat to us Democrats. I suspect early dementia or some form of Alzheimer’s. Time for him to retire I guess.

A fair point. So therefore, hold hearings on Sotomeyer’s job application, and either confirm or reject, and consider the remark. Okay, you did that. - Now we are considering Trump’s remarks, and either confirming or rejecting him.

Keep talking, Chuck. You, ONLY you, have already turned a safe seat into a contest. Every time you open your mouth, you increase the chances of Patty Judge becoming Senator Judge.

Question: If we imagine, for the sake of argument, that Sotomayor’s “wise Latina” comment was racist, then how does that make Trump’s comment any less racist?
Answer: It doesn’t!

For the record, Sotomayor’s actual statement was: “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.” Trump, on the other hand, said the judge is inherently biased because of his heritage, and he said a Muslim judge would also be biased. Anyone having difficulty seeing the difference between Sotomayor’s statement and Trump’s statement should consult an optomotrist.

If Sen. Grassley keeps digging, we might end up with a new route to China. Please proceed Senator.

Is any of this spaghetti sticking to the fridge door?

Shorter Lord: I am colorblind, it’s the judges fault for being colorful.

If this cornhole can’t tell the difference between someone’s self-reference in jest and someone’s spiteful animosity in the form of a racist comment to label another human being, I’d say he got kicked in the head one to many times as a kid, and no longer knows which way is up. And this ladies and gentlemen is a fucking US Senator in charge of the Judiciary Committee. The man needs a fucking lobotomy to improve his jumbled brain activity.

Watch Trump incorporate this into his “I’ll have no further comments” comments on the judge.
