They don’t.
Businesses grow because the demand for their products or services grows.
Tax cuts do nothing but fatten the bottom line and remove money from the economy.

Wheaties are dog food disguised as breakfast nutrition. Pour on cow’s milk and you have a toxic stew for champions.
PS-You have a bit of mud on the hem of your petticoat.
…then you remember he’s a Republican
Reminds me of the cartoon showing the floor of the House with someone giving a speech, second picture shows someone on the left of the aisle shout out, ‘No blood for oil!’, third pic shows the house sitting quietly, fourth pic shows someone to the right of the aisle asking, ‘How much oil?’
Good news? His now close affiliation with Trump may signal the beginning of the end of his political career. Keep in mind that unless they deliver, even rock-ribbed R’s may vote him out.
Not much he can’t do, honestly. That’s why preventing the appointment of a special prosecutor was the ultimate goal of McConnell’s failed multi-layered strategy.
Wonder if he would go as far as selling her to a black or arab slaver.
Anyways he reminds me of Mark Twain’s book “Pudd’nhead Wilson”, where one of the characters “Valet de Chambre” sells his mother “down the river” to cover for some debts.
I’d stand up to Hitler, but I really want to see more Volkswagens get built…
Most Trumpsters live in an alternate reality where Trump is going to give them a tax cut, not corporations. And if this planned raid on the public fisc happens, they will be convinced they got one even though they have no more money in their paychecks.
Trying to reason with them is like trying to have a rational discussion about witchcraft with a 17th Century Puritan.
Dear Senator Graham; we have established what you are, we are now simply negotiating price.
Translation - " My first and foremost obligation is to reward my wealthy benefactors/donors with a humongous tax cut, everything else ,including civility, the rampage on American values, affordable heath care, job creation, or a compassionate and sane immigration policy ,has to take a back seat." - Lindsay Graham ®.
Political cowardice 101.
Q.E.D., lol.
“The election is over. I’m focused on results, and that’s why I’m here. I’d rather not be a constant critic. I’ll stand up when I need to, but I’m trying to get taxes cut,” he said.
Has anyone noticed how ridiculous this whole bit of ka-fucking-buki theater is?
The Dead-End Kids are not looking at tax reform. They are looking at tax cuts, and they have to find offsets for most of their cuts, because they can only add $150B to the deficit per year for the next 10 years, after which their tax cuts must expire.
In plainer English, they are shifting revenue sources around. This leads to nonsense like, “We are going to take away the deductibility of state and local taxes, but we are going to double the standard deduction (but take away the personal exemption while we do that.” WTF?
Or equally stupid shit like, “We are going to cut most of the tax-deferred contribution to 401(k) plans,” doing this at a time when they are trying their damnedest to shift away from defined benefit pension plans to defined contribution plans (i.e., 401(k), Simple IRAs, 403(b) plans). Does anyone know if their crazy ideas about 401(k) contributions are going to apply to Simple IRAs and 403(b)s, too?
They are shifting tax burden and increasing the national debt – they are not reforming the tax system.
Well, I have friends there and they are Democrats and it’s the Dem friends who have known the Sanford’s for decades. And I have voted Dem my entire voting life and I vote primaries and mid-terms, I volunteer at campaign time and I currently do pro bono work for 2 Indivisible groups and my local and state Dem party. I’m doing what I can.
I’ll tell ya, this Trumpism shit has got to stop, it’s turning us all on one another.
“I am extremely disappointed in the president. I’m sorry, I have to take this call on the other line … What’s that? Tax cuts for billionaires that already pay no income taxes? Sounds great. (Click).”
And in conclusion, the president is a true leader who I am proud to call my friend."
