Threshold? The justification for the Benghazi farce was barely a toe hold on a slippery slope carrying an anvil in a blizzard.

With Gowdy, I’m just waiting for the foreskin to creep back up from his collar and recover the head.

I think most Americans are unaware that his was a private US Uranium company that was being acquired by a Russian company. Americans are also unaware that uranium is widely available on the commodities market and it is not some nefarious product or material. URANIUM IS A COMMODITY!

Trump is playing to his ignorante base and Fox news and Breitbart are folliwng the Putin plan to keep us divided!

Wake up America…Putin’s global neo-nazi objectives continue to work through Trump!

IMPEACH Trump and Pence and stop Putin’s neo-nazi plans! Putin is worse than Hitler!

Agreed. But all those hearings weren’t Special Counsel-driven, but House Oversight Committee-driven.

And I thought the “threshold” was:

Party = Dem
Sex = Women
Name = Clinton (First two not actually needed for this case)

They aren’t going to appoint a special council. These guys aren’t stupid enough to think that would pan out. But they are mendacious enough to push the idea to detract from the Trump / Russia mess. As anyone that’s looked at the Uranium One deal knows…there’s nothing there. Same for Fusion GPS. A Special Council would get to the same conclusion even if he was a King GOP’er. Given Mr. Gowdy’s first attempts at Clinton ended in failure and defined him as a political hack I doubt he want’s to rack up another batch of that. So what do you get?

“To say we’re not going to appoint special counsel is not to say we aren’t going to look into anything.”

Gowdy learned through his Benghazi escapades that by not having a special prosecutor he could, at will, bring up red meat issues time and time again. Trouble within the GOP? Let’s do another Clinton investigation!

Geez, gowdy never met a Clinton investigation he didn’t love.

It’s not even an American company, it’s a Canadian company.

There are very specific reasons why Gowdy is declining to sign-on for this witch hunt.

Very. Specific. Reasons.

I’ll bite… what are the reasons?

Jeez, Trey, what gave you your first clue?

Why not hold a hearing on why we have a KGB officer in charge of security at our embassy in Moscow.?

Doen’t really matter. That Canadian company held mining rights for uranium in the USA. That kind of private affair has national security ramifications so there it is. When a Russian consortium wanted in on Uranium One again national security forced government approval. It sailed through because the Russians agreed to the same deal the Canadians did. None of the uranium could ever leave the USA and it stays under USA regulatory control. It’s so clear that no one intimating Clinton “sold” uranium to Russia so they could build bombs to use on America could credibly claim mistake. It’s utility is in “Russia” and projection.

It was a privately-held Canadian company that has some US assets in Wyoming.
And it merged with another foreign company, and then a Russian company bought a controlling interests.

Putin is a communist—not a fascist.

You’ve confused Putin with Trump, it seems.
