Yep. Almost anyone, at least.
The corollary is, âWhy have laws against murder? They havenât stopped anybody from killing.â See Chicago and Gun ControlâŚ
Yes.
Thatâs why they are acting as they are and saying what theyâre saying. And you cannot trust one thing they say. Somebody in the GOP could have Articles of Impeachment drawn up and we wouldnât know it until they thought the time was right. Iâm not saying they do but I donât believe much of anything they say either for Trump or against him.

This surprised me too, the suicidal recklessness and failure to see the obvious end
[/quote]Itâs almost as if they know Trump will try to get rid of Mueller, maybe even firing several people in DOJ before he gets to one who will do the deed, and it will give Republicans in Congress one more (bigly) thing to ignore in showing America and the world that they will do absolutely nothing to Trump - except, maybe, expressing some deep concerns about his unusual behavior.
Thatâs where my thinking is now.
Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), the No. 2 Republican in the Senate, said in August that a bill to keep Trump from firing Mueller was uncalled for âbecause I donât think itâs going to happen.â
âI think that it would be much more prudent for Congress to wait until after President Trump actually fires Mueller. Then we can take up such a bill, you know, for the purpose of preventing any future Democratic president from firing a special counsel.â
Thatâs quite a hefty settlement especially compared to the Stormy Daniels payment of $130k.
Then again heâs a casino mogul so the house always uh Wynns.
If, or far more likely, when the indictments are handed-down for Kushner and the Trump kids, Trump will very probably start flailing around wildly. A probable firing of Mueller will likely just be part of the general crazy, along with attempted pardons, outright defiance of the legal system, etc.
At that point, republican senators (their house members are too dumb to do anything other than collusion) will be caught badly behind the power curve and will very probably wish that they had done something to prevent the conflagration associated with a repeat of the âSaturday Night Massacreâ. There will be hell to pay and they wonât want to be stuck with the bill.
The Republican Party putting breathing room between itself and Trump, would be like trying to put breathing room between oneself and ones shadow.
Note to you GOP assholes: Thereâs a blue typhoon coming in November and youâd better be ready to pack up and spend more time with your families. My sympathies to your families.
the legislation was unnecessary because Trump wouldnât dare fire Mueller.
Anyone who believes this just has their head up their ass.
And the hosts of Trumpâs favorite cable news show, âFox and Friends,â said that the revelation âscreams of a leak from the special counsel.â

Regular geniuses over there at Fox.
MoneyâŚthat and lots of lawyers
Now, if he were in elected office he could be tossed out on his ear. Oh, waitâŚ
Did anyone really believe that Mitch the Bitch or the rest of these pukes gave a flying fuck about Russia interfering in our elections or that they were willing to protect the country, the vote or support and defend our constitution from this menace?
Perhaps some people missed that part where McTurtle was against letting the public know some shit was up with Russia, when the Obama administration warned their Pukey leadership. Theyâve been aware of the interference for over a year and never thought it was much of a problem. They flat-out refused to do anything then, and theyâre not about to do anything now. When they were first made aware, McTurtle actually threatened the Obama administration that they would make it a political issue from the get-go.
So now, as for protecting Mueller, when Russian bots continue to send out their support for tRump in order to protect him, and as far as I can tell, seemingly tipping the scales for the GOPâs benefit⌠itâs still a big fucking deal, but youâd never know it if you asked a GOPer currently holding office. To them, its still âno biggieâ.
Our next election will not be secure, and theyâre still in jeopardy of being fucked with, and the Republican party as a whole simply doesnât care because the calculus is that somehow it still works in their favor. These goober legislators donât want anything to do with protecting our Constitutional democracy. They refuse to see it as a issue.Theyâre all about âParty before Countryâ. Its what these Republicans have been about for years now, and its what makes them so loathsome.
VOTE THESE FUCKERS OUT OF OFFICE!!! THEYâRE CORRUPT AS HELL. THEY GOT THEIRS, JACK. WORSE COMES TO WORSE, THEYâLL JUST CASH OUTâŚTHATâS THE GAME PLAN FOR THEM. There is no plan B.
I hate these fuckers. I really do.
I sure hope that blue wave is real.
I have had the same feeling deep in my gut.
Trump fires Mueller and no one does anything. Then what? Oh, there may be hand-wrangling here and there in the media and by the Dems, but then what? What can the Dems do without control of Congress? And we know for damn sure that the RepublaThugs will no do nothing but make excuses for Dumbo Don the Conâs actions.
So what then?
Will we have a 2018 election? Will Putin come for a visit to inspect his new colony?
Things are getting mighty darkâŚ
Iâm holding out for McConnell in an orange jumpsuit. #TeamTreason
Iâm asking myself these questions, too, particularly about the midterms, and itâs bugging me that so many people are so confident that there will be a blue tsunami. What reason do we have to believe that these will be fair, above-board elections? They stole the last one (not to mention 2000 and 2004), nothing has been done to fix the problems that led to the theft, and the stakes are higher now. Between voter suppression (and of course the lifting of the ballot security consent decree with RNC is probably going to mean all sorts of shifty shenanigans at polling places), new voter ID laws, throwing out contested or provisional ballots, getting people removed from voter rolls en masse, and a hefty assist from the Russians, it doesnât feel paranoid to worry that the Dems could lose the midterms. Itâs scary to contemplate.
So do I.
There are 4 indictments right now under seal waitingâŚwaiting to be unsealed. If trump does the dirty deed they will be unsealedâŚand delivered. And made public. Then the GOPers will have no excuses.
