Discussion: GOPer Wonders If Gillibrand Shielding Harassers Because They're Dems

Discussion for article #227003

That’s just silly

The clock is on you, Luntz, in my “Bucket of Boiling Acid Challenge.”

So good to see that Frank Luntz has gotten over his existential crisis over his having wasted his life trivializing serious matters and hiding evil behind fatuous buzzwords and gotten back to the serious business of trivializing serious matters and hiding evil behind fatuous buzzwords.

Really? Frank Luntz? Has he recovered from his break down? The man is a putz.

I thought Luntz was quitting politics and joining sports as a pastime?

Things might be worse for the GOP than we are led to believe.

Frank should be tried for sedition along with W, Cheney, Goebbailes and Rove.

Aside from the contemptible cynicism (which is Hair-piece Luntz’s stock in trade), this is also stupid: if they are Dems, she can (if she wishes) speak or keep silent. But Luntz implying they might be Dem simply makes it that much more damaging if, should she decide to speak, they turn out to be Re-Thugs. And let’s face it–there’s a higher incidence of unreconstructed racists, sexists, and closeted homophobes in the Grand Old Party.

Wow. Isn’t interesting how the menfolk are dealing with this.

A male Politico reporter practically called her a liar.

Two other male reporters are demeaning that Gillibrand name the offenders.

And now you GOP operatives, once again guys, cynically insinuating that she’s keep silent because the actions she described were performed by members of her own party.

Really?

What is that thing on his head?

Chubby guy with bad rug can’t believe an upstanding repug would harass a female colleague? I could name six or eight Rs just off the top of my head and I’d likely be right on some of them.

I think they’re all going for “both sides do it.”

Which could be true.

The behavior is the issue.

Exactly - I would call this “challenge” remarkably stupid. He is daring her to release names and, if they should be Republicans, he set himself and his party up.

There you go trying to make sense.

I would suggest the reason Kristen Gillibrand is not naming those offenders is because she was brought up well and does not seek to cause pain or embarrassment to the fools involved regardless of their party affiliation - you know common decency - oh wait - that would obviously point to the perpetrators being GOP - a group totally lacking in that trait!

Party isn’t everything.

It’s the only thing.

Or their wives, btw.

Sad lot, they.

But, see, Luntz sets himself up as a consultant and an expert political adviser–and let’s face it, there have been times when his strategy and tactics have been horribly effective. So why the stupidity now? “Desperation” seems like too simple an explanation. “Crashing incompetence to deal w/ GOP’s gender-gap problem” seems indicated.

Actually, I’m inclined to think that as a politician in the Senate “club,” she doesn’t want to burn any bridges.

Either way, the result is the same: She has her reasons and they’re her business, and the foolish MSM needs to stop punishing the victim.
