Discussion for article #222484
So he basically wants a Thunderdome for poor people. Such a sweet guy.
Kind of like Obama saying his administrationâs response to Benghazi was âless than optimal.â
Time for Hagan to turn Tillis in a Romney who only gives a rats ass about the rich and wants to divide and conquer the poor and do nothing for the middle class.
Benghazi? What does this have to do about Benghazi?
He says we might take care of the babies, but the rest of you can starve. Oh, and you who are on disability we will take care of you until us republicans can figure out a way to dump your ass too.
Too late the white sheet is off. You canât separate the idiot and sexist from the racist.
Anytime a comment begins with âkind of like Obamaâ itâs usually safe to skip the rest.
Everything is about Benghazi. You didnât get the memo?
âMy point was to say we need to make it very clear, government exists to help those who cannot themselves, not for the shiftless.â
Thatâs what you meant to say, wasnât it MelâŚI mean Thom.
Josh and the TPM team worked very hard to get a brand new comment system up that would lend itself to âthoughtful commentsâ.
And then the usual scat follows us in. sigh
A lot of things resonate in North Carolina, secession, racism, religious fundamentalism and marriage inequality resonate in North Carolina.
âI donât regret suggesting that we pit poor people against each other in a contest to see who is the most deserving. I regret that I got caught on tape suggesting that.â
Even for you, that is exceptionally lame and wildly off-topic.
Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin also has a âdivide and conquerâ video out there.
When asked by a wealthy campaign donor, âAny chance weâll ever get to be a completely red state and work on these unions?â Walker responded with âOh, yeah. Well, weâre going to start in a couple weeks with our budget adjustment bill. The first step is, weâre going to deal with collective bargaining for all public employee unions, because you use divide and conquer.â
Iâve been looking at that name. I canât decide what heâs saying here. Is it âmore foolâ or âme foolâ or âfool meâ or âmore meâ or âfool moreâ or âme moreâ or âme fool moreâ or âme more foolâ orâŚ?
Heâs presented the Tar Heel version of âIf anyone was offended. . . .â
Perhaps he could have said it with âmore elegance.â
The fallacy of this statement â
âMy point was to say we need to make it very clear, government exists to help those who cannot themselves. And those who can need to let us do everything that they possibly can to let us free up those resources so we can do better things for those who desperately need it.â
is that he was talking about how to address people who DO need the help, not any people who supposedly do notâŚ
Why, bless his heart.
