Discussion: GOP Senators Fault Trump Policy For Syria Chemical Weapons Attack

In fact, sometimes even competent people send signals that result in disastrous events, like in 1951 when we didn’t include the Korean peninsula in our “sphere of vital security interests”, or prior to Desert Storm when Bush the elder signaled that Iraq’s annexation of Kuwait might not be a problem to us. When you have callous incompetents at the helm, the potential for disaster increases exponentially.

It’s just a matter of time before they all start fleeing from those dropping poll numbers.

When the Secretary of State says that “…the Syrian people will decide their own future…” it shows Tillerson knows NOTHING of history in general and American history in particular.

You ignorant Corporate Tool- answer me this: “What role did France play in the American Revolution, huh?”

Bet our NATO allies are feeling all warm and fuzzy these days.

Hopefully the country will learn from this and realize that maybe career politicians are actually useful, and maybe the idea of running the government like a business is even dumber than it sounds,

These bozos want to separate themselves from Trump while supporting every other stupid thing he wants, there isn’t a hairs deference between them. They are all nasty, mean spirited, could care less the individuals, and are all consumed about their own self interests
Would they abolish OCare: you bet.
Would give tax breaks to wealthy, and cut social programs? Depend on it.
Public Education? Gone
While the Syria Chemical attack is awful, do they think of the 20 some million people loosing health Care, 16,000 premature deaths each year as a result? No

Is “little Marco” vying for the third Musketeer job left open by Kelly whats-her-face from NH?

And, adults are somebody’s kids too, deserving of empathy. So called pro-lifers are slow to protect and defend any persons outside of the womb.

Oh, Marco. Tsk, tsk, you really don’t get it do you?

The Trump Administration is perfectly aware that Putin is a war criminal. They see that as a plus, not a negative. Trump admires war criminals who get away with it. He thinks that makes them strong. That’s what Trump wants to be: a strong-man war criminal who gets away with it.

Trump isn’t sending Tillerson to Moscow to berate Putin. Trump is sending Tillerson to Moscow to make business deals, and to bring back dictator training videos.

Things seem to be falling apart all over the place since Obama left. Couldn’t possibly be because his leadership kept things ticking in the right direction. Now, sleazebag dictators are embraced, major allies are shunned, and the zero policy coming from the Trump administration leaves a vacuum in which all of the bad guys feel free to do wtf they want. Great job, Donnie.

EXACTLY! And before that they (McCain and Rubio) ENDORSED AND VOTED FOR TRUMP. They own this EVERY BIT as much as TRUMP

Rubio, who is introducing a Senate resolution condemning Assad for the attack and calling for his ouster, also slammed President Trump for blaming his predecessor for the current situation in Syria.

Oh my. Will anyone from else from the Freedum Caca be joining the fun? Who else in Congress is on Bannump’s Enemies List so far?

The Florida senator, in a pre-recorded video message played during the Republican convention, said that only Trump would cut taxes, curb spending and get the national debt under control. Rubio also vouched for Trump’s foreign policy, which he took major issue with during their competition for the Republican nomination, saying that only Trump would rebuild the military and defeat the Islamic State.

Own it, Senator. Own it.

The major fault lies with Assad, the Iranians, and the Russians.
This should be a turning point in this horrible war.
Trump is not in the clear due to his buddy buddy with Putin and his attitude toward Assad. In addition Trump faulted Obama and that came across as a naked insult in my opinion.

They are and at an accelerating rate as far as I see it. I miss having an intelligent calm adult in charge. I really do. Two and a half months of this man/child are quite enough.

Woohoo. They’re distancing themselves and isn’t Rubio saying we have an unqualified SOS?

Self interest vs statemanship.

Oh, me too!

And with every day that this maniac is at the helm, I worry more. Things are heating up in every respect. How long before some sort of calamity strikes? (I mean outside of the ongoing Trumpian chaos.) We are so close as it is. And the most troubling thing is that that kind of calamity is exactly what Trump and Co. need and want. The ultimate distraction from the Trump/Russia debacle. I feel like the clock is ticking.
